Custom Treats by Dipped by Doreen

Do you have an upcoming celebration party that you want to make extra special? Consider custom treats made by Dipped by Doreen. I was in charge of favors for my friend's 40th birthday. She is the ultimate Ravens fan so I knew I had to get Doreen's super yummy dipped oreos customized for favors.

Ordering was super easy. I just sent a direct message to her instagram account @dippedbydoreen. The oreos came out so nice and were all individually boxed which made for a wonderful presentation. Check out her account for pictures of all the amazing treats she makes.

Easy Christmas OREO Treats

Last year, I received a very last-minute email for an upcoming Christmas class party for one of my kids.

Usually we're notified weeks in advance of a class party and parents are either assigned something for the child to take to the party, or they sign up for a certain dish (main dish, dessert, etc.).

Despite the last-minute notice, I still wanted to make something, so I decided to just use whatever I had on hand - OREOs, sprinkles, candy canes, and almond bark.  The result was chocolate-dipped OREOs covered in crushed candy canes and sprinkles.

Simply melt bark according to instructions, dip half of each OREO in the melted chocolate, sprinkle with crushed candy canes and/or sprinkles, then refrigerate!

The best part is that kids can help decorate!  They'll love dipping the OREOs in chocolate and throwing on the crushed candy canes and sprinkles.
Quick, kid-friendly, and yummy!

Halloween Treats - OREO Witch Shoes

OREO Witch Shoes!

This is another fairly easy Halloween Treat - one that the kids can easily help with!

All you do is take Halloween OREOs (they would work well with Mint OREOs too), place about 7 to 10 OREOs in a clear plastic bag (number of OREOs depends on how long you want the "leg" to be; I used a poly bag bought from a craft store), and tie the bag at the top with some ribbon.

Then you make your Witch Shoe.  You can google online for a template, but it's super easy to just cut out a shape freehand.  Let your kids cut out all sorts of fun shoe shapes!

You can cut the shoe from black construction paper or card stock, or you could also use Halloween treat bags (like in the below photo).

Punch a hole near the top of the shoe and tie a ribbon, or simply use tape to keep the shoe secure around the OREOs.

Happy Halloween!

Oreo Peanut Butter Brownie Recipe

The other day I was browsing through Gem's Twitter feed, and I came across this tweet from @SarahBMock that she retweeted:

Everything about this recipe was calling my name - brownies, peanut butter, and oreos!

Gem suggested that I make it for our next get-together, but I couldn't wait that long, so I made it that very night. :)

Although @SarahBMock used traditional Oreos in her recipe, I only had the Reese's Mini Oreos on hand (thanks to Gem!) so I used those instead, placing two in each muffin liner.

Then I put a small dollop of peanut butter on top of each Oreo...

and then placed two more Oreos on top of each dollop of peanut butter.

I made my brownie mix, then placed about  2 1/2 Tablespoons of brownie batter into each muffin liner.

After baking them at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, they were done!

My brownies did not come out as pretty as @SarahBMock's, but trust me, they were delicious!! Oreos come in many different flavors now, and I'm sure any flavor will work wonderfully.

Since I made these for my hubby's office, I dusted them with Confectioner's sugar to make them look a little more presentable.

OREO Ornaments

Another cute and easy Christmas treat - OREO Ornaments!

You'll simply need OREOs, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Minis, white melting chocolate, and sprinkles/candies/etc. to decorate.

To make the fun, edible ornaments, just dip the OREOs into the melted white chocolate and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet (be sure to get as much excess chocolate off of the OREOs as possible). Next you'll dip a mini Reese's into the melted white chocolate and attach to the edge of an OREO. Then add sprinkles, candies, etc. to decorate.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Kids will love making these fun treats!
