Ube Mascarpone Pancakes

I recently had lunch at Guieb Cafe's third location in Aiea.  Located near Cutter Ford on Hekaha Street, the family owned restaurant serves all day breakfast and lunch.  They offer dine-in with table service as well as take-out.  I love that they take reservations too because lunch can get busy.

I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I settled on the Braised short rib benedict and the Ube Mascarpone pancakes which our server recommended.  She was right, the ube pancakes were fluffy, tasty, and just the right amount of sweetness.  I would definitely order them again and again.  I loved my benedict as well!  

Service here is excellent, parking is plentiful, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Uber Factory

The first time I tried Uber Factory was 5 years ago.  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the very popular ube tarts, as I'm not a huge fan of ube.  

I recently went again to pick up some ube tarts, and I discovered they now offer Ube Turnovers, and Ube Mochi Bombs!  

The Ube Mochi Bombs consist of malted ube butter mochi, white chocolate, and ube malted crumbs.  What a treat!

The turnovers pair well with ice cream!

I'm not a fan of ube, but when it comes to the Ube Cheesecake Tarts at UBAE, I can't stop at just one.

The creamy, delicious tarts have just the right amount of sweetness, all within a shortbread tart that is buttery and simply yummy!

The Ube Cheesecake Tarts are sold in 8- or 4-packs, and you can also buy them frozen if you know you aren't going to eat them right away (eg you have errands to run after picking them up, or you want to serve them on a later date).
