Uber Factory

I finally gave in and tried the tarts from Uber Factory!

I've seen many posts of the tiny, delectable tarts on Instagram, and despite having dined nearby on numerous occasions, or passed by the little strip mall where Uber Factory is located many, many times on the way to the North Shore, it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I finally tried the tasty tarts!

It's probably because I don't care for ube, and even though I knew Uber Factory made different specialty flavors, the tarts never really appealed to me.

But I'm glad I finally tried the tarts, because they were amazing!

We picked up a pack each of the Original Uber (ube) Tarts and Pistachio de la Creme Tarts.

Pistachio de la Creme
I first tried the pistachio, since I love pistachio cake.

Wow!  I was not expecting to like the tart so much, but the creamy pistachio filling and cookie crust was just divine.

And surprisingly, I loved the ube too!  I've tried ube ice cream before and thought it was good, but not something that I'd eagerly try again, so I was anticipating to not be very fond of the ube tart either.  The ube tart turned out to be delightful!

I did like the pistachio better, but I'd definitely buy more of the ube tarts again if the specialty flavors are no longer available (when they run out, they run out!).
