Stripsteak Waikiki Happy Hour

I'm a fan of Stripsteak Waikiki's Happy Hour.  The food and drink deals are awesome, and the staff is just the friendliest!

The Le Chiffre is so pretty!  It's made with shochu, lavender, and dolin blanc, and is quite easy to drink.

The Gala Brand is one of my faves, and it's almost "too easy" to drink.  Made with aperol, passion fruit, and prosecco, it's a very pleasant, fruity drink!

The cocktails are just $7 from 4-6pm daily!

Also from 4-6pm daily is a Happy Hour Menu, which includes Truffle Duck Fat Fries, ($7), Loco Moco Sliders ($9), Pacific Reef Squid ($10), a variety of sushi ($4-$6), and more.  Also offered is a Stripsteak Sunset Supper, which includes a Tuna Hand Roll and 12oz NY Stripsteak with duck fat fries and garlic spinach for $40.

No matter what day of the week, it'll be a great day to enjoy Stripsteak's Happy Hour!

But try not to go too crazy with the appetizers, because you want to save room for the udon ... hot, cold, curry, sukiyaki, stir fry, spicy ...

There is no cost to upgrade the size to a large, which is the perfect size for sharing. 

Service is outstanding - quick, accurate, and very friendly. Reservations are easy to make (via Yelp or just call), even for large parties (I had no problems making a reservation for 12 people).

Happy Hour at Chart House

Over the weekend we had a mini high school reunion at Chart House.  We started at Sunset Happy Hour (til 7pm daily), and didn't leave until after Late Night Happy Hour (10pm til closing daily)!

I love the Fried Zucchini, Kim Chee Fried Rice, and Pork Chops!  The Garlic Bread with Cheese turned out to be a popular pupu item, and of course the Fries were good too.

The Signature Mud Pie was ideal on such a warm evening.

And since it was National Mai Tai Day when we dined at Chart House, I had to order the famous Guy Tai!  

We had such a great time at Chart House - about 6 hours of non-stop eating and drinking!  

It's the perfect place for pupus, cocktails, and catching up with friends!

Yard House Waikiki Happy Hour

Our family recently went to Yard House at Waikiki Beach Walk for Happy Hour, where we ordered pizzas and appetizers for 1/2 off, and got $2 off cocktails and beer (M-F2:00PM - 5:30PM; Sunday - Wednesday 10:30 PM - CLOSE).

I love the Onion Rings at Yard House. I probably couldn've eaten the entire tower myself if there weren't so many other yummy dishes on the table.

The Fried Mac + Cheese was very tasty, and probably my next favorite item after the onion rings.

Both pizzas were good, but I would've have liked the crust to have been a little crisper. I thought the Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds were just okay.

The Polu Hawaiian consisted of Koloa Kauai White Rum, Ocean Vodka, Dekuyper Blue Curacao, Citrus Agave, and Pineapple Juice. I love rum and vodka, so this was a great drink (and also a bit strong!).

Service was prompt and friendly, and I look forward to dining at Yard House Waikiki again for Happy Hour and taking advantage of the great deals!

Happy Hour at Maui Brewing Co. - Waikiki

At the beginning of the year, Maui Brewing Co. opened up in Waikiki, and I was excited to finally dine there over the weekend!

Located in the Holiday Inn Resort Waikiki Beachcomber, Maui Brewing Co. offers two happy hours daily - 3:30pm to 5:30pm; 10:30pm to close. During Happy Hour, customers can get any MBC Flagship Beer for $4.75 (you can sample two before you decide!), 50% off appetizers, pizzas for $10, and discounted cocktails.

The Butcher pizza, which was topped with braised pork, braised brisket, Kukui sausage, and Hawaiian chiles, was very tasty. The crust was thin and crispy, the chiles packed quite a punch, and the different meats gave a nice, salty, smoky flavor. I do wish there was more meat on the pizza, however.

The Nachos were good - loaded with chiles, cheese, guacamole, and red and green salsas. Next time I'd add meat (braised pork!) like the server had suggested.

I couldn't resist getting the Tater Tots. The housemade tots were not as crispy on the outside as I hoped they'd be, but they were still really good. I would order it again!

Kids' options are $8 a piece and include Housemade Nutella & Apple Pizza, Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza, Fish & Chips, or Simple Organic Pasta with Red Sauce or Butter and Cheese.

The kids' meals are a bit on the pricey side, but my kids enjoyed their meals.

We passed on dessert since the dessert menu was limited (only two types of sundaes).

Service was excellent, and I'd definitely return to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials again!

Happy Hour at P.F. Chang's Waikiki

I've only been to P.F. Chang's once, when I dined at the no longer-in-existence Hokua location.

During our recent Waikiki staycation, we decided to go to Happy Hour at P.F. Chang's, which is located at the Royal Hawaiian Center.

Nat had blogged about the Happy Hour at P.F. Chang's several years ago, and although the times, prices, menu, and portion sizes may have changed since she last enjoyed Happy Hour there, I thought it was still a great option for a meal!

The Happy Hour (4pm - 6pm daily) bites were delicious.  I enjoyed everything (I didn't eat the sushi, however).  The Dynamite Chicken was my favorite.  The tempura-battered pieces of chicken had a bit of a kick.  I also really enjoyed the Pork Dumplings, which were pan-fried until crispy, and served with a chili sauce.

Each of my kids opted for the Kids Chicken Fried Rice.  

For dessert, we decided to share the Great Wall of Chocolate.

The six-layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips was sinful!  It was so rich, and the five of us in our family struggled to eat our share. It was so huge - we ended up with lots left on the plate!

Our server was excellent, always anticipating what we may need.

We'd definitely take advantage of the Happy Hour specials at P.F. Chang's again!
