Thai Village - Mililani

It's been so long that I've had Thai food in Mililani - so long that I didn't even realize Thai Village was in the Town Center of Mililani and Phuket Thai is no longer there.

I've been to the Waipahu Thai Village location and liked it, so I was looking forward to trying out the Mililani location.

Chicken Fried Rice

Spring Rolls

Fried Chicken

Chicken Panang Curry

Eggplant with Tofu Stir-Fry

Everything was tasty.  I especially enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao.  I love thick noodles!  The Eggplant was tender and delicious as well.

As I mentioned previously - it's been so long that I've had Thai food, that I forgot to order sticky rice!

In addition to the cool treats, they have all sorts of pop culture toys and items to buy, as well as a LEGO wall for kids to play at.

It's a fun hangout for kids of all ages!

Tanaka Ramen- Mililani Town Center

I recently dined at Tanaka Ramen's newest Hawaii location in the Militani Town Center. Perfect for a casual dinner before a movie, Tanaka Ramen offers small izakaya style dishes, ramens including vegan specials, rice bowls and more.

Our group shared the hand-made pork gyoza and I ordered the Tanaka Tori (chicken) ramen. The broth was light and tasty and the thin noodles were perfectly chewy. I really enjoyed it. Next time I won't skip dessert and will have the mochi ice cream and the yuzu cheesecake.

The Mililani location offers exclusive menu items such as their 5-kind sashimi platter, poke don, unagi don, and grilled hamachi kama. Service was very friendly and efficient. A great addition to the town center.

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya Mililani - Takeout

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya opened up in Miliani earlier this year, and we recently ordered take-out.

Tokyo Curry Don Karaage Chicken

My usual at Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya is the Tokyo Curry Don Karaage Chicken.  The curry is so tasty, and the chicken is seasoned and cooked nicely, without being tough or chewy.

Pork Gyoza

I always get Gyoza as well.  They are the perfect complement, whether you order curry or ramen!

Chicken Chashu Don

Beef Sukiyaki Don

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya has a nice selection to choose from.  Whether you're craving rice or noodles, seafood or chicken, or even something vegan, you can find it at Tanaka!

Mililani Bar-B-Q

It's been a couple of years since we picked up food from Mililani Bar-B-Q.  We recently ordered take-out for dinner with my sister-in-law who was in town.

Side Fried Mandoo

BBQ Chicken and BBQ Beef

Fish Jun

Meat Jun & BBQ Chicken
A look at the chicken under the meat jun
Korean Pancake
This time around I didn't care for the Fried Mandoo, but I loved the Fish Jun, and once again the BBQ Chicken.  Both were full of flavor.

My kids loved the chicken as well, along with the BBQ Beef.

My favorite of the banchan was the potatoes, and the restaurant also gives a couple of pieces of the Korean Pancake with each plate, but it's under the foil and easy to miss (we almost threw them out because we didn't know they were under the foil!).

I still think the portions are small for the price, and although I think most of the food is tasty, I prefer to go elsewhere for Korean food.
