Happy Hour at Roy's Ko Olina

My friend and I were in Kapolei for an afternoon event that ended early, and as we were searching for a place to go for happy hour on the Yelp app, we came across Roy's Ko Olina, and saw that they had a check-in offer for a free chocolate souffle, so we booked it over to Ko Olina and made it just in time for last call (for the happy hour menu).

Happy hour and pupus are offered daily from 2-5 pm on the outside lanai of the restaurant, overlooking the Ko Olina Golf Course.

The weather could not have been more perfect for an afternoon of drinks, good food, and good company.

I was in the mood for something sweet to drink, so I ordered The Ultimate Raspberry Lemon Drop - it was the perfect thirst-quencher on this sunny Saturday afternoon.

Also on the happy hour menu (which the restaurant calls the "Aloha Hourz Menu") are these Garlic Butter Seared Shrimp & Garlic Fries. It's an interesting combination (two pieces of shrimp and french fries?!) but they were both delicious.

We also ordered the Ko Olina Dragon Maki and Y Hawaii Kai Style Crispy Crab Cakes, even though they were not on special.

I always order the crab cakes whenever I dine at a Roy's Restaurant. Their crab cakes are full of real crab meat and not a lot of fillers.

We finished off our meal with Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle, which is one of the main reasons for us coming here. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it, but there is a picture of one in Gem's previous review (click here).  Don't forget that it takes 30 minutes to prepare, therefore if you plan to order this for dessert, inform your server ahead of time.

Waterman's Bar & Grill at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina

When hunger strikes when you're poolside at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, visit (or order from) Waterman's Bar & Grill.

There are actual tables to sit at near the bar if you prefer actual seating, but we chose to eat our yummy food by the pool both days we staycationed at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.
Chicken Shawarma Wrap
Sweet Potato Fries

Chef's Griddle Burger

Buddha Bowl
The colorful Buddha Bowl was filled with avocado, tomatoes, edamame, sweet potatoes, beets, crispy chana, sunflower seeds, and a mix of farro, brown rice, and quinoa.  So healthy and delicious!

The Chef's Griddle Burger was huge!  It was topped with cheddar, grilled onions, bacon, pickles, and a secret sauce.

All sandwiches come with a side salad, fries, onion rings, potato chips, sweet potato fries, or (for extra charge) truffle fries!

The keiki meals include a fresh fruit amuse bouche.  The six options on the keiki menu include:
Kids Cheeseburger

Teriyaki Mahi

Triple Decker PB&J Sandwich

Wok Noodles
Chicken Nuggets
All Beef Hot Dog
All keiki meals come with a dessert.  Kids can choose from Chocolate Banana Pudding or Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich!

Waterman's definitely satisfied!

Eggs 'n Things Now in Ko Olina

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Now you can get the same great breakfast foods from Eggs 'n Things in Ko Olina! Eggs and Things opened their fourth location earlier this year and is now offering dinner from 4pm! In addition to their vast selection of crepes, pancakes, and omelets, they are also serving up burgers, sandwiches, and more for dinner. There is also an all day keiki menu available.  With limited food choices in the area, Eggs 'n Things is definitely a great addition to the Ko Olina Shops!

Mina's Fish House Aloha Fridays

Every First Friday, head on down to Mina's Fish House at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina.

From 5pm to 8pm, enjoy passed pupus, live music, games, and cocktails as the sun sets.

Entry is $10, or BYO-Tiki Mug for free admission!  Drinks tickets are $10 each.

I attended the inaugural Aloha Friday earlier this month, and enjoyed mixing and mingling, and even won a friendly game of corn hole (with cocktail in hand, I must add).

The setting, although warm, was stunning.

Mina's Fish House Aloha Fridays is a fun way to wind down after a hectic work week.

Parking is free with validation for up to three hours (a Lyft discount is also offered for those who prefer not to drive).

Now Open at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina - The Bar at Hokulea

There's a new spot in Ko Olina perfect for pau hana or even a chill, girls' (or guys') night out - The Bar at Hokulea at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina!

Last week I attended a launch party for The Bar at Hokulea, which is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 5:30pm to midnight, with nightly live music from 8:30pm to 11pm.

Inspired by the "golden age of travel in the Pacific," The Bar at Hokulea offers an ideal place to enjoy cocktails and small bites, while enjoying stunning views.

The Bar at Hokulea offers a variety of wines, champagnes, beers, rum cocktails, and also features a flight of rum by local distiller Ko Hana Hawaiian Agricole Rum.

Ko Hana Rum Flight

Mau's Mai Tai - Ko Hana Kea Rum, Pineapple, Lilikoi, Orgeat, Tiki Bitters

Aka `Ula - Coconut Rum, Dark Rum Chambord, Orange, Pineapple, Strawberry
Ka Lae Daiquiri - Plantation Pineapple Rum, Lime, Simple
The food menu is very limited, offering caviar and a menu of only four "Bites" - Cheese & Charcuterie, Garlic Truffle Fries, Chicken Sliders, and Poke Nachos (we were able to sample the nachos and sliders at the event).

I personally would be happy munching on sliders and fries with a rum cocktail in hand!

My friends and I definitely have The Bar at Hokulea on our radar for a future girls' night out!
