Roy's Ko Olina

Friends were visiting from Texas, so we decided to have dinner at Roy's Ko Olina, one of my favorite restaurants in Ko Olina Resort (and one of my all-time fave kid-friendly restaurants).

Mount Ka`ala Mai Tai

Edamame

Roy's Original Blackened Island Ahi

Filet Mignon

Uncle Roy's Pulehu Combo - Yaki Salmon, Colossal Shrimp, Mongolian Spiced Baby Ribs

Misoyaki Marinated Butterfish
Dinner was fabulous! Our friends had a lot of questions about the menu since a lot of the foods were new to them (edamame! macadamia nut tart!), and our server was excellent, answering any and all questions, and finding out the answers if he didn't know them.

I opted for the Misoyaki Marinated Butterfish.  The first time I ever tried butterfish was at Roy's, and I was blown away by how delicious it was.  There was no doubt I would be ordering the butterfish.  It was fantastic!

All of our friends enjoyed their meals, raving how everything was delicious (one even commented she had the best salad she ever there!).

I love Roy's Keiki Menu - for a set price, kids get an appetizer, entree, and dessert!
Appetizer - Cheese Quesadillas, Sliced Fruit, Vegetables

Hibachi Grilled Salmon

Tender Braised Beef Short Ribs

Penne with Butter Sauce

Ice Cream Sandwich
I love Roy's Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Chocolate Souffle, but when I saw Miso Caramel Crunch Cheesecake on the dessert menu, I couldn't resist!

The Chocolate Souffle

Macadamia Nut Tart

Miso Caramel Crunch Cheesecake

I love cheesecake, and this dessert was amazing. The rich, creamy cheesecake contrasted nicely with the popcorn arare and macadamia nut crunch.

We all had a wonderful time at Roy's.  It was one of the best dining experiences we've had all year!
