da CHEFS box Keiki Box

da CHEFS box recently introduced the Keiki Box, and I am such a huge fan!

Hawaii Mom Blog was invited to try a Keiki Box, which costs $50, and contains 6 complete meals by Chef Marc Freiberg of Green Apron HI.

In the Keiki Box were 2 of each of the following:
  • Eggplant Parmesan
  • Turkey Chili
  • Teriyaki Meatballs
  • Caesar Salad
  • Steamed Broccoli & Kale
  • Tossed Salad & Pickled Veggies
  • Grapes
  • Oranges
  • Apples

I love that you can mix & match the main entrees and sides, and I thought the meals were very generous in portion size (you could easily split a single meal into two).

You can make the meals for lunch (Distance Learning, or ready them to pack in lunchboxes for those who go to in-person school) or dinner.  They take mere minutes to heat up in the microwave, and you can customize the meals to your preference too (we added sour cream, cheese, and green onions to the turkey chili).

I had a chance to taste the chili and eggplant Parmesan, and I thought they were restaurant-quality.

The Keiki Box is a great way for kids to try new foods, to give parents some much needed time off from the kitchen, and to support a local business.

I really think the Keiki Box is a great deal!

Quick, healthy, delicious meals couldn't be any easier!

Order the Keiki Box or any of the other da CHEFS boxes, and take advantage of the convenient curbside pick-up, or have it delivered for a fee.

Enjoy Chef Prepared Meals at Home with da CHEFS Box!

Earlier this month, we were treated to a complimentary da CHEFS box! I was excited to try because I had seen all the delicious meals Gem had with her box a few months ago. Each box contains Chef prepared pre-cooked main dishes and sides along with fresh baked products, fruits, and vegetables. It’s perfect for families because there are up to 5 meals for a family of four.

The eat by date is about 6 days so you have plenty of time to enjoy the foods. Da CHEFS box comes with simple instructions to prepare the meals, but also encourages you to mix and match products from the box and experiment with adding items from your pantry to create your own delicious meals.

Our da CHEFS box was prepared by Chef Marc Freiberg of Green Apron HI and included Porcini Rubbed New York Strip Steaks with Roasted Garlic Honey Comb, Rosemary Roasted Heirloom Potatoes, Kurobuta Pork Belly with Apricot Mustard, Coconut Black Rice, and Summer Lobster Bisque.  Fresh Baked items included fresh bread and Salted Caramel & Chocolate Brownies with Pretzel Crust.  On top of all that we also received fresh local items such as fresh island fish, Ho Farm veggies, Ka Lei Eggs, and kabocha.

You can have your box delivered to your door or pick up from Chef Zone on Saturdays between 9am to 11am.  After I unboxed all the contents, I decided the brownies would pair nicely with my coffee. The pretzel crust was amazing!

A couple of hours later, I got the munchies so I broke out the lobster bisque and toasted the bread.

For dinner, we prepared pasta and veggies to go with the prepared potatoes and steak. Delicious and so simple. Our meal was cooked up in minutes!

On another night, we reheated the coconut black rice and pan fried the fresh island fish. We completed with some pasta salad.

For our last meal, we pan seared the pork belly and served with the apricot mustard.

These meals did not disappoint and we loved having our fridge stocked full of Chef quality meals!

da CHEFS box now also offers a medium sized box. Order either box here: https://chefzone.com/dachefsbox/
