da CHEFS box Keiki Box

da CHEFS box recently introduced the Keiki Box, and I am such a huge fan!  

Hawaii Mom Blog was invited to try a Keiki Box, which costs $50, and contains 6 complete meals by Chef Marc Freiberg of Green Apron HI.

In the Keiki Box were 2 of each of the following:

• Eggplant Parmesan
• Turkey Chili
• Teriyaki Meatballs
• Caesar Salad
• Steamed Broccoli & Kale
• Tossed Salad & Pickled Veggies
• Grapes
• Oranges
• Apples

I love that you can mix & match the main entrees and sides, and I thought the meals were very generous in portion size (you could easily split a single meal into two).  

You can make the meals for lunch (Distance Learning, or ready them to pack in lunchboxes for those who go to in-person school) or dinner.  They take mere minutes to heat up in the microwave, and you can customize the meals to your preference too (we added sour cream, cheese, and green onions to the turkey chili).

I had a chance to taste the chili and eggplant Parmesan, and I thought they were restaurant-quality.  

The Keiki Box is a great way for kids to try new foods, to give parents some much needed time off from the kitchen, and to support a local business. 

I really think the Keiki Box is a great deal!

da CHEFS box Prepared Meals

Included in da CHEFS box are prepared foods that you simply have to reheat!

 This made dinner a cinch for the crazy busy (or lazy) nights.

All I had to do was pop the food pouches in the microwave or in boiling water, and add a few extras to make it a complete meal.

I made da CHEFS box's New York Steak, Potatoes, and Herb Garlic Butter, and added a small side salad.

Another night I made da CHEFS box's Lemongrass Chicken, and simply cooked rice.

And on another night, I made pasta, along with da CHEFS box's Saffron Risotto Milanese, and Rosemary Loaf with the Herb Garlic butter.

I was fortunate to have a box of food delivered to me, and it was filled with all sorts of great items!

Instructions are included in each box for those with little cooking skills (like myself), and you can easily incorporate items you have on hand to customize each meal.

I did just that with the Lilikoi Ricotta Cheesecake - I added fresh blueberries and drizzled on some local honey.
