Istanbul Hawaii

I've heard great things about Istanbul Hawaii, and I was excited for my first visit!

Meze Platter
The Meze Platter consisted of humus, muhammara, babaganush, su borek, spanakopita, peynir & karpuz, pita - all hand-made by Chef Nili.

My favorite item on this platter was the Babaganush (I love eggplant!)

Iskender Doner

I had a taste of the Iskender Doner, and the shaved lamb was tender and flavorful.  It was not gamey at all!

Saffron Pilav

Organic Chicken Tenderloin 2 Shish

I had the Chicken Tenderloin, which was very delicious.  The chicken was so tender and juicy, and I loved all the spices!  It was accompanied by a Saffron Pilav and a Meditteranean Salata.

Baklava & Dondurma

The Baklava & Dondurma was a pleasant way to end the meal.  40 layers of flaky filo and Turkish walnuts paired nicely with the Dondurma.

Service was excellent.  Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.

I was grateful to have had Chef Alan Wong join me for lunch, and it was such a treat when Chef Nili and Chef Ahu came out to meet us because they were thrilled that Chef Alan was dining there.

I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
