Breakfast Poutine

All it took was my friend to see one instagram post, and she was rallying the brunch troops to get together for Smith and King's weekend brunch. Located in downtown, Smith and Kings is open for lunch and dinner, but closed on Tuesdays. Parking is on the street or you can park in Marin Tower. 

The brunch menu, available Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 3pm, is extensive and has you covered from variations of eggs benedict to waffles and French toasts to the classic brunch burger. I ordered the two egg deluxe breakfast which came with cornbread and bacon with a second choice of more bacon, pork belly, or sausage patties and a choice of breakfast potatoes or house grits. Our group shared the very delicious Tres Leches French Toast. The food was plentiful and tasty and we took advantage of the nicely priced $20 Mimosa pitcher.

Don't Miss the Chicken and Waffles at Kapa Hale Brunch

My family and I recently went to Kapa Hale for brunch and we pretty much ordered everything.  While we loved EVERYTHING we ate, the crowd favorites were the ʻŌmaʻomaʻo Garlic (a perfectly crispy house cream cheese rangoon with Kolea Farm green garlic and spinach) and the KFC Chicken and Waffle (Keaka's fried chicken, country gravy, and grilled lemon honey).  Located near Kahala Mall, Kapa Hale serves brunch on the weekends from 9am to 2:30pm.

Weekend Brunch at La Hiki Kitchen

Last year Nadia tried out La Hiki Kitchen's Sunday Brunch, and I've been wanting to try ever since!

So many people I know have raved about it, and it's been so popular that La Hiki has started to offer brunch on Saturdays as well!

Finally, a few weekends ago, my husband and I had a chance to try out the Weekend Brunch at La Hiki Kitchen (currently $75).

There is definitely a bounty of food to choose from - fresh fruits, salads, fish, oysters, shrimp, lobster, chicken, and more.

There is also a Sashimi and Poke Bar, Prime Rib, Pork Belly, a Cold Noodle Bar, and even a Bloody Mary Bar!

I personally loved the Loco Moco Station and the Hot Noodle Bar (ramen or udon in a shoyu or miso broth, plus fixings)!

And let's not forget the desserts! Parfaits, puddings, cookies, brownies, donuts, cupcakes - it was a sweets-lover's dream!

There is live music throughout the brunch, which only added to the ambience.

Service was great and the options were plentiful.

We had a lovely time at La Hiki's Weekend Brunch!
