A Lovely Breakfast at La Vie

 

Avocado Toast

My husband and I recently took the day off to have breakfast together to celebrate my birthday.  We went to La Vie, a G.Lion restaurant, located in the Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki.  This was our first time there for breakfast.

The open air restaurant is gorgeous with pretty views and a nice breeze.  When we arrived at 10am, the restaurant was empty.  

My husband ordered the farmer's omelet with roasted mushrooms, truffle boschetto cheese, and spinach.  I ordered the avocado toast and couldn't pass up the lemon buttermilk pancakes.  We ordered our favorite cocktails and luckily since they weren't busy they were able to fill our requests.  They told us when they are busy, guests are limited to cocktails on the menu only.  

We had a great time and the food was delicious.  I would recommend and will come again.

Breakfast at Quiora

During our spring break staycation at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach we had breakfast at Quiora, one of the on property restaurants. We had a wonderful time there for my birthday dinner this past August so I was looking forward to returning. I love the open-air seating overlooking Waikiki and you can expect the service will be excellent from beginning to end.

We ordered the avocado toast, croque madame, and a bagel with cream cheese. My avocado toast was simple, but not short on taste or presentation. Served on a wooden board, the avocado toast is 3 pieces of house made focaccia topped with crushed avocado, Ho Farms tomato, Hirabara radish, and salsa verde. The croque madame is sourdough bread with prosciutto, gruyere cheese, mornay sauce, and sunny-side up egg served with a garden salad. My only regret was not ordering the lemon buttermilk pancakes, but that's my excuse for returning!

The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach

A couple of months ago I attended an event to preview the signature spa treatments at Waikiki's newest luxury Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach.  Last week, I was lucky enough to get a bit of "me time" and returned to the stunning spa and enjoyed one of their featured treatments - the Ho'omalu, a sense of peace.

The treatment is inspired by and uses traditional 'awa rituals to create a personal place of peace through a cleared mind and renewed presence.  The experience includes a grounding leg and foot mask, deep lomilomi massage, and scalp treatment.

My therapist, Silvia, was simply amazing.  Her skilled touch placed the perfect amount of pressure during the massage and although I tried my best not to fall asleep, the massage was just too relaxing and I woke myself up with the sounds of my own snoring.  A sure sign of a wonderful massage!

Open daily from 7:30 am to 7pm, the spa is currently home to 3 treatment rooms, but will be expanding with the opening of the second tower next year.  Definitely recommend a treatment here if you are looking to feel revived and rejuvenated!

Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to preview signature spa treatments at Waikiki's newest luxury Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach.  The spa features ESPA and Hawaiian Rainforest Naturals Signature Treatments, 24kt Gold & Diamond Infused Knesko Facial Enhancements, as well as being Oahu's First VitalJuwel Water Bar. 

 

Open daily from 7:30am to 7pm, the spa is home to 3 treatment rooms, but will be expanding with the opening of the second tower next year.  I took home a spa menu and can't wait to return for a customized treatment!  Still need a gift for Mother's Day?  A spa treatment would make any Mom happy!  The spa also generously extends a 15% discount to kama'aina.
