Flytographer - Hire a Photographer for Your Next Vacation

While I was (re)planning our dream vacation to Paris last summer, I knew I wanted to hire a photographer so that we could have family pictures that weren't selfies. Flytographer made the entire process super simple. On their site, you choose your destination and a number of amazing local photographers and their photo galleries will be available for you to view.  All you have to do is choose a photographer and request your date. Photoshoots begin at $285 for 30 minutes which we found to be more than enough time to get all the photos we wanted.

While we were still on our trip, the company sent us a digital image as a sneak peek from our photo shoot which I absolutely loved. We ended up using it for our Christmas card. The entire experience was great and I would highly recommend especially if you are visiting your dream destination.

Visit Paris: Paris Disney's Bistrot Chez Remy

While researching places to eat at Paris Disney, Bistrot Chez Rémy was at the top of our list.  The restaurant’s theme is based on the Pixar movie Ratatouille and shrinks diners to the size of Remy the rat.  When you enter the dining room, you’re greeted with sights of oversized plates separating booths, giant bottles of wine, and very cute champagne topper chairs.  We love a good Disney themed restaurant and Bistrot Chez Remy did not disappoint.

The classic French set menu has two choices: one with starter and main course and the other with starter, main course and dessert.  There is also a Little Chef Menu for ages 3-11.  We read a lot of bad reviews on the food so we kept our expectations low.  After all, we were there more for the experience.  The food turned out to be fine and our server was wonderful so we had a really fantastic experience.

We love the theme!

Visit Paris: The Eiffel Tower

A visit to the Eiffel Tower was at the top of our list when we were planning our summer trip to Paris.  You can book your tickets from the official website two months in advance and I highly recommend you book as soon as the tickets are released if you have a specific time in mind as the early time slots sell out fast.

There are 3 different types of tickets that can be purchased online and can grant you access to either the second floor or the summit via elevator or second floor via stairs.  We chose tickets that took us to the summit via elevator.  However, the day we arrived, the summit wasn’t open so everyone was taken to the second floor which still gives a nice view at 377 feet high.  Lucky for us while we were there, the summit opened so we took the elevator up.

At the summit, besides remarkable views at 906 feet high, there is also a gift shop, champagne bar, and Pierre Herme Paris macarons.  You’ll have to take the elevator back down, but from the second level, you can take the stairs down which was a fun experience.

On our way!

Unfortunately, Champage Bar wasn't open yet.

Be sure to also catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower at night too.  The Trocadero is a popular spot to view the Eiffel Tower’s illuminations when it sparkles for five minutes from dusk until 1am.  For us, it sparkled at 11pm because the sun set at 10pm.  Seeing the Eiffel Tower was one of the highlights of our trip and it was the clear favorite of the entire trip for our two kids.
