Visit New Jersey: Ocean City Boardwalk

We knew a visit to the Ocean City Boardwalk in New Jersey was a must.  I couldn't pass up all that boardwalk food!

In addition to playing mini golf at Goofy Golf, buying omiyage at Shriver's Salt Water Taffy, and eating in ice cream at George's Candy, we also indulged in:

Visit New Jersey: Shriver's Salt Water Taffy

An omiyage must-stop in New Jersey is Shriver's for Salt Water Taffy, right on the Ocean City Boardwalk. 

Shriver's is the oldest business on the boardwalk and offers salt water taffy, fudge, and all sorts of other confections. 

Lots of the goodies are already pre-packaged, but my kids enjoyed making their own bags of Salt Water Taffy, as they could select from dozens and dozens of flavors.

Options include Strawberry, Banana, Peppermint, Peanut Butter, Licorice, Teaberry, Root Beer, Watermelon, Molasses Mint, and Cinnamon.  I could go on and on! 

Shriver's Salt Water Taffy make great omiyage!

Visit New Jersey: Goofy Golf

There is so much to do along the Ocean City Boardwalk in New Jersey.  There are many, many arcades and mini golf courses, and my kids kept begging to play mini golf, so we stopped at Goofy Golf.

At just $5 per person (cash only), the kids had a lot of fun playing on this colorful course, filled with all sorts of obstacles to make it fun, yet challenging.

It was a great way to spend some time while taking a pause from eating our way up and down the boardwalk!

Visit New Jersey: Ice Cream at George's Candy

While walking along the Ocean City Boardwalk in New Jersey, our first stop was George's Candy for ice cream and shakes!

Seagull Droppings

With over 30 flavors of homemade ice cream to choose from, I went for Seagull Droppings, one of the most popular!

Any of the ice creams can also be made into a shake!

Of course, you'll find lots of homemade candies and other confections at George's Candy, and also a restaurant offering breakfast, but don't overlook the ice cream!  It's delicious!
