SKY Waikiki's Social Bites

My bar hopping days are over, but every once in a while, my gal pals from high school and I will ditch our mom duties for drinks and pupus and reminisce about the good old days.  We selected SKY Waikiki for our most recent summer get together, and here's what we nibbled on:

Garlic and Truffle Butter Fries & Caesar Salad

Slider Trio Sampler

Caprese Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Prices are a bit high, but you have to keep in mind that it's located in the heart of Waikiki on top of a building with AMAZING views of Honolulu.  Unfortunately you'll have to trust me on that because I actually didn't take any pictures of the views from the Rooftop Bar, but I did capture this peek a boo view from the Women's restroom of all places.

And if you're worried about where to park, no need to worry, because SKY Waikiki offers free validated parking at Waikiki Shopping Plaza and Waikiki Business Plaza.  Just be sure to bring your parking ticket and get it validated before you leave.

Note: if you're going during nightclub hours, there is a dress code.  Click here for the details.

Vice Nightclub

It's been YEARS since I've stepped foot into a nightclub, but I recently attended a fundraising event at one - Vice Nightclub.

I thought it was a pretty spacious nightclub.  There was a lot of room to dance, but there seemed to be a limited amount of seating (and a lot of my girlfriends complained about how the seats were all torn up).

The servers were very friendly - recommending drinks and food, and the DJ for the night (DJ Idle), was great, playing a lot of the old school (90s) hits.

Cy Carnate, the MC for the night, also did a great job.

The event took place on a Friday night, and the club wasn't packed, however, I've heard that Saturday nights are the most popular, and they frequently have special events.

Although the turnout for the event was small, we had a blast at Vice!
