Visit Hilo: Cafe 100

Cafe 100 is the self-proclaimed "Home of the Loco Moco" and also where I had my first "real" Loco Moco (prior to that I had fish moco, katsu moco, and veggie patty moco).

They offer a number of "mocos," and honestly the most varieties I've ever seen anywhere.  On this recent visit, I had the Chicken Cutlet Moco.

Cafe 100 is a great spot to pick up some early morning eats.  They are known for their Loco Mocos (they have all kinds!), and my go-to there is the Bacon Loco, with scrambled eggs, and fried rice.  I really liked the fried rice - very flavorful!

It's such a great breakfast!

Cafe 100 also offers some sweet treats, and when I saw a sign for Chantilly Chocolate Cream Puffs, I knew I had to get some!

They were absolutely delish.  I love chantilly!

Visit Hilo: K's Drive In

I first tried K's Drive Inn a couple of years ago, when I indulged in a gravy burger and gravy fries.  I have been to K's many times since then, as they have a variety of local eats sure to satisfy.

On a recent visit, I ordered a Portuguese Sausage Loco Moco and Cheesecake!
