Visit Las Vegas: Broken Yolk Cafe

Hash Skillet

During a weekend trip to Las Vegas, we had brunch at the Broken Yolk Cafe. The go-to spot for breakfast and brunch has five locations in Las Vegas. We visited the Town Square location and while we waited for a table, we went shopping at the nearby Total Wines.

The menu is extensive, but I loved that you could get a side of almost everything. I love to have sweet and savory so I was happy I could order my favorite avocado toast, but also satisfy my craving for pancakes!

Side Order Lemon Ricotta Pancake

Although it was busy, the service was awesome. Great spot for a casual and affordable brunch.

Visit Las Vegas: Giordano's Deep Dish Pizza

My sister and I LOVE pizza so I was all in for getting deep dish pizza from Giordano's on a recent trip to Las Vegas. Giordano's is an American pizzeria chain that specializes in Chicago-style stuffed pizza and has two locations in Vegas. We stopped by the Summerlin location since it was nearby a donut shop I wanted to check out.

We ordered the cheese deep dish right away as it takes about 45 minutes to prepare. In the meantime we also ordered cheesy garlic bread and spaghetti. If deep dish is not your thing, they also offer pan pizza and thin crust pizza styles. I absolutely loved the cheesy deep dish, but my niece who is pizza sauce adverse said the sauce was just too overpowering. Check Giordano's out and you be the judge.

The restaurant itself is spacious and great for families and the service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely return.

Visit Las Vegas: Dominique Ansel Bakery at Caesars Palace

Dominique Ansel Bakery in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas

As a fan of sweets, I love to seek out bakeries while traveling.  One of my favorite bakeries is by Dominique Ansel, a French pastry chef and the creator of the cronut - half croissant and half donut.  His original bakery is in New York where people would line up for his signature creations like the cronut, cookie shot, and frozen s'more.

His newest location opened last year in Caesar's Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.  Unique to the Las Vegas location is his line of Lucky 7 pastries and also the world's first fully automated cookie shot vending machine.  My favorite pastry is the cronut which flavor changes every month, never repeating which is why I'll be sure to visit every time I make a trip to sin city!

January's flavor was Mandarin Kumquat & Vanilla

Some of the Lucky 7 pastries include Fortune Cookie and Four Leaf Clover

First ever cookie shot robot!
