New at Jamba Juice Hawaii: Bursting Boba and Three New Menu Items!

Complimentary product was provided by our sponsor for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Happy New Year!  Jamba Juice Hawaii (Jamba Hawaii) has started off the new year with new items on their menu that is taking the Jamba Hawaii experience to a whole new level.

First off, Jamba Hawaii has added BURSTING BOBA to their list of "boosts". Bursting boba are tiny balls filled with real fruit juice concentrate, and burst in your mouth when you bite into them. Available in orange and strawberry flavors, these tiny balls add a lot of flavor and punch to your smoothie or bowl.  Bursting boba boosts can be added to any smoothie or bowl for an additional charge (currently $1).

My sons were hesitant to try the bursting boba at first, but after the first sip/bite, they were hooked!

I tried it myself and I must say the bursting boba does add a lot more flavor to the smoothie.  I also like that it it adds some texture to the smoothie.

The bursting boba that Jamba Hawaii uses is smaller than the popping boba that are offered at boba tea houses and fro-yo establishments, therefore, no special straw is needed, and the chances of choking on the boba is minimal, which makes this a great add-on for keiki.

In addition to bursting boba, Jamba Hawaii also rolled out three new blends featuring the bursting boba boost, that are available for a limited time only:

  • Lava Flow Smoothie with Bursting Boba Boost: A piña colada smoothie with strawberry and apple coulis and strawberry bursting boba. This drink was a special menu item in the past that was so beloved that Jamba Hawaii has brought it back and added bursting boba!
  • Fire Flow Smoothie with Bursting Boba Boost: A piña colada smoothie with mango and orange coulis and orange bursting boba — a truly tropical taste!
  • Lava Flow Bowl with Bursting Boba Boost: This Jamba Energy Bowl™ is an edible version of the Lava Flow smoothie, erupting with strawberry and orange bursting boba.

We tried the Fire Flow Smoothie with Bursting Boba Boost, and we all loved it! The combination of piña colada (coconut and pineapple), mango, and orange flavors makes this smoothie taste like a tropical paradise. It was very refreshing and I would highly recommend this one!

The Bursting Boba boost is a permanent addition to the Jamba Hawaii menu, however the Lava Flow Smoothie, Fire Flow Smoothie and Lava Flow Bowl are only available through March 28, 2021, therefore don't wait too long to try them out!

Dessert from California Pizza Kitchen:

Drink from Starbucks:

Smoothie from Jamba Juice:

Scoop of ice cream from Baskin Robbins:

I guess birthdays aren't so bad after all!

Jamba Juice Hawaii Introduces New Honeydew Melon Lineup

Last week I had a chance to attend a Jamba Juice media event where attendees got a chance to preview the new Honeydew Melon products, which are debuting today:
  • Mean Da Melon – A blend of apple, strawberry, and peach juice; honeydew melon, and lime sherbet.
  • Hello Mello Dream Bar – A smooth, refreshing mix of soy milk, frozen yogurt, honeydew melon, and kale.
  • Hana Hou Honeydew Bowl – A refreshing, filling bowl with soy milk, honeydew melon, honey, coconut, almond, and chia seeds.

Available for only a limited time, these tasty products are exclusive to Hawaii.

At the event we even had a chance to blend our own Honeydew Melon smoothies!

Of course the highlight of the event was sampling the Honeydew Melon creations.

The Hello Mello Dream Bar is reminiscent of Melona Bars, and it was very refreshing. However, I enjoyed the Mean Da Melon a lot more. It was a little tart, but I really enjoyed the combination of fruits in this blend!

I also really liked the Hana Hou Honeydew Bowl.  It was so tasty and filling, and the toppings created a nice contrasting texture and lots of additional flavor.

Get  your hands on some of the new Honeydew Melon items today, because they'll only be available for a limited time!

Coladas Fruit Refreshers Now Available at Jamba Juice Hawaii - Free Samples May 9

Pineapple and coconut. It’s a match so perfect, there’s even a song about it. Now that we’ve got that tune in your head, escape to your nearest Jamba Hawaii store and sip your way into a hot tropical summer with three new fruit refreshers, now blending in all stores: the Pina Colada, Lime Colada, and Tropical Colada.  In addition, all Jamba Hawaii stores will be giving away free samples on May 9.

The Pina Colada is a classic sweet blend of coconut cream and pineapple, and the Lime Colada has a zesty kick from lime sherbet and lemonade. The Tropical Colada is a fruity mix of coconut cream, pineapple, passion-mango juice, pineapple and strawberry. “The Fruit Coladas are great drinks to cool down especially as we’re heading into the hotter months here in Hawaii. There’s a different flavor for everyone, and it’s hard to pick a favorite,” says Donna Yano, Vice President of Jamba Hawaii.

With two full servings of fruit in each small size, this trio of refreshing, hydrating drinks are packed with healthy vitamin C that come from real whole fruit and juice. With no added artificial flavors or preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup and 0 trans fats, these beverages can help your body stay hydrated with essential electrolytes from coconut water.

I was fortunate to attend a Fruit Colada Pre-Launch Event where I got to sample the three new fruit refreshers.

Roast Chicken, Cheddar, & Honey Dijon Sandwich; Four Cheese Flatbread Pizza - YUM!
They all were indeed very refreshing, and because they are made with coconut water, they all had a coconutty taste.

The Lime Colada was a little too tart for me, and I thought the Pina Colada was a bit too sweet.  The Tropical Colada was my favorite of the three - it seemed to have the right combination of tart and sweet, and the strawberries really shined through.

The Fruit Coladas will be available at Hawaii Jamba Juice locations beginning May 4.

Share your Fruit Coladas love on @JambaHawaii with the hashtag #YesILikeFruitColadas for a chance to be featured on their Facebook and Instagram. It’s the perfect escape!
