Visit San Francisco: Ghirardelli Square

If you're a chocoholic like I am, a visit to Ghirardelli Square is a must while in San Francisco.

Yes, there are several Ghirardelli Chocolate shops where you can stock up on all sorts of chocolate confections and indulge in some ice cream, but there are also some really cute boutiques, as well as several great restaurants.

Because parking can get pricey at Ghirardelli Square (well, parking is pricey just about everywhere in San Francisco!), we made sure not to exceed two hours there, since parking is $5 with validation for up 2 hours (with a minimum $25 purchase).

We had dinner at The Pub, browsed the shops, then ate an ice cream sundae at the Ghirardelli Chocolate Marketplace.

It was a fun (and delicious!) place to visit while in San Francisco.

Visit San Francisco: The Pub at Ghirardelli Square

While at Ghirardelli Square, we decided to have dinner at The Pub.

Almost "World Famous" Tommy Tots
Baby Brooklyn Sliders

Brisket Reuben

Chicken Strips with Veggies and Fries

Mac & Cheese with Jack, Cheddar, & Parmesan Cheese with Fries

Chocolate Chip Cookie
I love tater tots, so I couldn't resist ordering the Almost "World Famous" Tommy Tots. They were reminiscent of buffalo wings, as they were tossed in a sweet & spicy sauce with blue cheese crumbles.  So good!

For my meal, I opted for the Baby Brooklyn Sliders. Fried chicken was topped with cheese, crispy onions, BBQ sauce, and an aioli.  It was yummy - one was quite filling!

The Brisket Reuben was topped with BBQ sauce, Swiss, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing,

Kids meals are $10 each, and include fries or tots, a drink, and a chocolate chip cookie.  The portions were quite huge!

Even though our server brought out our check and completely forgot about the kids' cookies, she was very friendly and efficient.

We had a great meal at The Pub!

Visit San Francisco: Ghirardelli Chocolate Marketplace

A visit to Ghirardelli Square would not be complete without indulging in a magnificent treat from one of the Ghirardelli shops.  There are three shops at Ghirardelli Square - the Original Chocolate Manufactory, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Marketplace, and Ghirardelli On-the-Go.

We decided to go the Ghirardelli Chocolate Marketplace because it was the least crowded of the three.

Lands End Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae
Since we just had a huge dinner, we decided the family would share the Lands End Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae, which consisted of Vanilla Ice Cream, Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownies, Caramel, Hot Fudge, Sea Salt, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry.

What a treat!  The brownie, combined with the ice cream and caramel, was so decadent!

It was the perfect way to end an evening in Ghirardelli Square.
