Yumi Kim Grand Opening at Royal Hawaiian Center

Yumi Kim boutique has opened its doors at the Royal Hawaiian Center! The brand's designer, Kim Phan, created Yumi Kim when she moved to New York in 2004 and opened the original flagship store crediting the sunny color palettes and vibrant florals that echo the extraordinary experiences of her journey as a tribute to her collection.

The Yumi Kim store at the Royal Hawaiian Center is bright and inviting with beachy vacation vibes. The quality dress styles range from pretty, feminine, and romantic to classic and elegant. You'll also find cute romper styles as well as sets. The store also offers shoes and accessories. I had a very fun time shopping for myself and will definitely return!

Perfect to shop for gifts or yourself

Love this cute beach bag of the island

An Active Look on a Budget

Summer is around the corner and we need to be beach-ready.  Sometimes working out and getting motivated can be difficult, so finding a cute outfit may help with the motivation. I found this cute workout look to get me started and it's all under $75.

A sports bra with cute straps is a good start to your workout attire.  It's so versatile.  It's super cute on and wearable under any top (for everyday use). It makes for a cute look!

These leggings by Betsy Johnson's "Performance" line is perfection.  How cute are the details at the bottom of the leggings? I cannot resist a cute legging. This is another versatile piece that can be worn as active wear or a casual everyday look.

Sketchers are one of my favorite brands of footwear.  They have incredibly comfortable shoes and are affordable. The air-cooled memory foam inside the shoe makes it so comfy.  It also makes for good traveling shoes.

When it comes to active wear, I like to find good deals and stick to a budget. Nobody wants to spend a whole lot of money on clothes that you are going to sweat in.  Find a cute look at an affordable price and get your workout on!

Sports Bra ~ Jeans Warehouse $7.99

Leggings by Betsy Johnson ~ Ross Dress For Less $15.99

Sketchers Classic Kicks with Air-Cooled Memory Foam ~ Sketchers (Waikele Premium Outlet) $49.99

Stitch Fix Review

You'll receive a personalized note from your stylist with outfit suggestions for your items.

I had been seeing pictures on Facebook of my friends trying on outfits and mentioning Stitch Fix.  I was curious, but also too busy to ask so it wasn't until I had brunch with a close friend who happened to be wearing a lovely top from Stitch Fix did I get the complete run down on the styling service.  For someone that shops predominantly online, I was sold.

Stitch Fix was founded in 2011 by Katrina Lake who believed a new retail concept could help busy women discover and explore their personal style.  When you sign up with the popular subscription company, you fill out a detailed questionnaire about your size, style, likes and dislikes, frequency of your shipments, and your budget.  Stitch Fix charges $20 for the personal shopping service and then will deliver you five pieces of clothing and accessories (I opted to receive only clothing) right to your door.

The best part is that you can try them at your convenience and in the privacy of your home.  You have three days to decide what you want to keep and send the rest back.  If you choose to purchase all 5 pieces you'll receive a 25% discount.  If you make a purchase, the $20 styling fee is applied to the purchase, but if you don't buy an item you will be charged the $20 styling fee.

I was pretty detailed in the comments section to my stylist about my style and the type of clothing I like to wear so it was great to get a box full of clothing that I loved!  They sent me 3 dresses and 2 tops.  They were so spot on that I actually already had one of the tops.  I instantly fell in love with a short, navy dress.  The other two dresses were super cute, but didn't fit quite right.  What's great about Stitch Fix is that they sent me clothing that I wouldn’t necessarily have tried on at a store.  I had a positive experience and look forward to my next shipment!

Vegas Fashion Finds - Outfit Under $30

I did some shopping on my recent trip to Las Vegas and found some really good deals. I love a good deal!! I'm obsessed with pom poms and rompers. I found this cute romper from Dillard's. It is so comfortable and it was on sale. I ended up going back the next day to buy it in a white color and a mint color. I couldn't resist a good sale.

The necklaces and earrings are from Charming Charlie. It was my first time in that store and I thought I was in jewelry heaven. I think I spent a good hour looking at all the cute accessories. I was able to find the perfect accessories to match my outfit and it was affordable.

The whole outfit was less than $30. You can't beat that. It's perfect for this hot weather here in Hawaii.

Romper ~  Dillard's $13.95
Necklace set ~ Charming Charlie $5.00
Earrings ~ Charming Charlie $8.00

Hi Tea Style Pop-Up Boutique

My fashionista friends behind @hiteastyle are finally launching their first pop-up boutique!

They are two of the most stylish gals I know, and I am so excited that what started out as a college dream for these sisters is finally coming to fruition!

Their upcoming pop-up is an invite-only, private event (public pop-ups coming soon!), and I was fortunate to get a sneak peek at their items.

I love the variety they offered - basic, trendy, and chic styles from brands like Umgee and mittoshop. There is something for everyone!

You can find pieces for work, a cocktail party, a day of leisure, or a night on the town.

I quickly found several pieces to try on, and ended up with four tops.  It's not very often I go to a single place and leave with more than one or two items.

I also love that the prices are very reasonable!

They'll soon be holding public pop-ups, so be sure to follow them on Instagram and follow the hashtag #hiteastylepopup so you can see all they have to offer and where they'll be popping up next!

Congratulations, Hi Tea Style!

What I Love Right Now: Ear Cuffs

I have officially fallen in love with the latest jewelry trend celebrities are wearing all over the red carpet:  Ear cuffs.  Ear cuffs are cool, fun, and edgier than your normal pair of studs.  They are normally worn on one ear and not sold in pairs.

Ear cuffs have actually been on trend for a while, but they have evolved and are still quite popular.  For my birthday, I bought the floating diamond zig zag ear cuff from EF Collection.  I love that it’s delicate, classy, and different.
