Roy's Signature Cocktail - Pineapple Dream

Starting this week, Roy's Waikiki will be open daily for lunch from 11:30am to 2pm. Dine in and be treated to live music while enjoying new lunch exclusives and complimentary valet parking at the Embassy Suites Hotel from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

New items on the lunch menu include the "Hapa" BBQ Duck Confit Monte Cristo and Chef's pick Sambal Plum Glazed C.A.B. 8 oz. Burger while Roy's Classics like the Bigeye Blackened Ahi, Misoyaki Butterfish, and Chinese Style Steamed Snapper will also be offered during lunch. After lunch, happy hour specials begin from 2pm to 4pm.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk Staycation

Happy Mother's Day to me. 

For several years now, I have been planning an overnight staycation for Mother's Day for myself and my kids. My husband is not a real fan of staycations (I can't believe it either) so sometimes he joins us and sometimes he doesn't. This was our first time staying at the Embassy Suites in Waikiki and I loved many things about the hotel. First off, many of the Hawaii hotels I have stayed in before will have 2 full sized beds. Our one bedroom suite had two queens and a sofa pull out so we each had our own bed. I LOVE this.  Most standard hotel rooms don't have a kitchenette, but ours at the Embassy Suites had a sink, mini fridge, hot water kettle, and a microwave which was really convenient even just for one night.  I also really appreciated the dining table. Moms that have had to makeshift a table for your kids to eat on by pulling in lanai furniture; I know you feel me.

When you check in, they will give each registered adult guest 2 complimentary drink tickets that can be redeemed at the pool on the 4th floor from 1pm to 7pm. There is also an evening reception at the pool deck where they offer guests soft drinks and prepackaged snacks.  Currently, there is no food service at the pool, but you can get Yard House delivered to you at the pool or the room. We were totally going to take advantage of this, but unfortunately the day we were at the pool, it was really crowded.

Location is another great attribute of the hotel. The lobby is right next to the Yard House side of the Beach Walk shops and restaurants and also across the street from an ABC store where you can pick up all kinds of essentials and souvenirs. You are also in walking distance of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.

Another great amenity of the Embassy Suites is the complimentary hot breakfast every morning from 6:30 am to 9am on the 4th floor. The offerings include granola bars, yogurt, rice, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and a made to order omelet station. Just be prepared to spend a good amount of time in line as the hotel staff are serving food and drinks. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we would definitely stay again.

Spring Break Pop Up with JMR Food Concepts at the Embassy Suites Waikiki

Last weekend, I was invited to attend the Spring Break Pakini Bar & Lounge Weekend Pop Up series at the Embassy Suites Waikiki featuring a VIP Chef's Table by Chef Jason Ramirez of JMR Food Concepts.  Guests of the Chef's table were treated to many delicious dishes as well as innovative and tasty wine cocktails by Oeno Winemaking and sweet treats by Coco's Cakes Hawaii.

Chef Jason is the owner of JMR Food Concepts and has over twenty years of culinary experience in San Francisco and Honolulu. He recently participated as a sous chef at James Beard House Foundation and lucky for us that experience has inspired him to bring his skills back to Hawaii. His company JMR Food Concepts provides private Chef's table, private catering, and consulting.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Last night Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a lovely event featuring signature food, drink, and entertainment.

The Grand Lanai was transformed for the evening - out went the poolside lounge chairs, and in went stations where guests mixed and mingled on a picture-perfect day.

Guests were treated to a variety of tasty bites, including some from a few of Waikiki Beach Walk's restaurants, as well as refreshing cocktails.

Guests also enjoyed live entertainment, as well as a heartwarming slideshow which featured several employees who have been with Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk since the beginning.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk is one of my favorite hotels in Waikiki. Our family was fortunate to stay there last year, and we had such a fabulous time,  The spacious suites, complimentary breakfast, and complimentary evening reception are just a few of the reasons why it's such a great hotel for families.

Congratulations to Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk on your 10th Anniversary! Looking forward to more exciting things to come in the next 10 years!
