Dylan's Candy Bar - Waikiki

After visiting the flagship Dylan's Candy Bar in NYC, I was excited to hear that a Waikiki location was opening up!

I was conveniently staycationing at the Hyatt Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa, which sits right above Dylan's Candy Bar in the Pualeilani Atrium Shops.

Of course, there was a dazzling array of confections, but the ice cream and milkshakes drew our entire family in.

Chocolate Ice Cream in a Brownie Cone

Double Chocolate Twisted Treat

Demolition Cookie Twisted Treat

Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake

Talk about a sugar rush!

The treats were pricey (ranging from $9.50 for the ice cream to $14 for the shakes), and even though the kids didn't finish the milkshakes (I wasn't expecting them too, nor did I encourage them to), and I couldn't finish the ice cream (actually - I couldn't finish the cone, but I did eat all the ice cream), it was fun to see the kids' reactions to the incredible creations, and it was a welcome treat after having not adventuring out for months.

The shakes can get messy with all the toppings, so be sure to ask for plenty of napkins!

If you're not staying at the Hyatt or nearby, Dylan's Candy Bar validates parking at the Hyatt with a $30 purchase.
