Grand Lanai Restaurant Week (April 10-16) Preview

Last night I attend a Grand Lanai Restaurant Week Media Preview at International Market Place.

The inaugural event will take place from April 10-16, during which time Eating House 1849, Flour & Barley, Goma Tei, Kona Grill, STRIPSTEAK, and Yauatcha will offer a variety of prix fixe menus.

Prix Fixe 3-course Menu ($35 excluding tax and gratuity): 
Tomato Caprese OR Arugula and Kale Salad OR Meatballs / 
Margherita Pizza Rossa OR Calabrese Pizza Rossa OR Kalua Pork Pizza Rossa OR Genovese Pizza Bianca OR Shrimp and Penne Alla Vodka / 
Chocolate Mousse OR Cannolis

Arugula and Kale Salad - oven-roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, artichoke, shaved Parmesan, toasted pine nuts, balsamic vinaigrette

Meatballs - "grandma's style" beef, veal, and pork; tomato sauce, Parmesan, salsa verde

Tomato Caprese - Ho Farms vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, salsa verde, balsamico

Shrimp and Penne Alla Vodka - jumbo shrimp sauteed with a vodka and creamy tomato sauce, penne pasta, crispy basil

Kalua Pork Pizza Rossa - slow-roasted pork, mozzarella, onion, roasted tomatoes, avocado cream, cilantro
Genovese Pizza Bianca - roasted chicken, basil pesto, mozzarella, pecorino, brussels sprouts, pancetta

Cannolis - filled with sweet, ricotta-mascarpone cream and garnished with pistachios and chocolate chips

Chocolate Mousse - OREO crust, mandarin oranges, housemade whipped cream, candied macadamia nuts, chocolate pearls

Tan Tan Ramen with Small Char Siu Fried Rice and Two Pieces of Chicken Tatsutaage

Chicken and Shrimp Lettuce Wraps OR Greek Salad OR Picasso Roll /

Restaurant week will kick off with the "Poke Bowl" on Monday April 10 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Two Grand Lanai restaurant chefs will prepare traditional and specialty pokes for guests to sample.

STRIPSTEAK Waikiki will also hold its popular F(l)ight Club at 7pm on April 10, as two mixologists battle to create the best cocktail.
