Kona Grill - Waikiki

Our family recently had lunched at Kona Grill at the International Market Place.

Avocado Egg Rolls
We started off with the Avocado Egg Rolls. Served with a honey-cilantro dipping sauce, the avocado egg rolls were good, but I would have preferred if more than just avocado was stuffed in the egg rolls, like perhaps chicken and / or bacon.

Kona Chopped Salad

I had the popular Kona Chopped Salad.  It was an enormous salad full of big chunks of macadamia nut-crusted chicken, huge pieces of bacon, as well as eggs, avocado, cheese, and tomatoes, all covered in a honey Dijon dressing.  It's a popular menu item at Kona Grill, and I can see why.  It was just so delicious and filling!

My husband had the Kahuna Burger with Bacon.  The burger was topped with caramelized onions, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and bacon (extra charge).

Kids meals are a deal at just $8.  Meals include a drink, entree and 2 sides.

Mashed Potatoes

Grilled Salmon

Turkey Club

Love the cute little orange animal served with the kids meals!  It sure is a lot of food for $8!

Carrot Cake
For dessert our family shared a gigantic piece of Carrot Cake.   Three layers of dense carrot cake sandwiched between layers of cream cheese frosting were topped with toasted walnuts and a caramel drizzle.  It was the perfect ending to a very nice lunch.

Service was excellent - our server was enthusiastic and friendly, and we all loved our meals.

Kona Grill is a great, family-friendly addition to Waikiki!
