Visit San Francisco: Apple Fritter

Apple Fritter is a restaurant I had actually eyed for breakfast, but because our hotel offered complimentary breakfast, we never got to dine at Apple Fritter for breakfast.  Instead, we ended up meeting our friend for dinner there one evening.

Apple Fritter is a fast-casual eatery.  Place your order, find your seat, and wait for your food.

Since I don't eat much beef, I love that all of the burgers could be replaced with chicken!

I ordered the Wild Thang - Beer Battered Onion Rings, Melted Pepperjack, Hot Jalapenos, Garlic & Oil, Smoky BBQ. It's a popular sandwich, and it is super filling and tasty. It had a little kick to it from the cheese and jalapenos.

My husband had the Elvis Burger - Grilled Egg Bread, Bacon Bits, Shredded Cheddar, Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jelly, Chips, Jalapeno. Some may wonder, just as the menu states - "WTFISTHIS." It turned out to be an amazing sandwich (and also my husband's favorite meal of our entire trip).

Kustard is available in Vanilla, Chocolate, or Tuxedo Swirl, and toppings are $1 each. You can also order Kustard Milkshakes in a variety of flavors.

Apple Fritter even offers a variety of housemade doughnuts!

The food and service were great, and hopefully the next time I'm in the area I'll get to try out their breakfast!
