Visit Maui: Breakfast at DUO Steak and Seafood

Being the breakfast-lover that I am, I was eager to dine at DUO Steak and Seafood at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea each morning during our weekend at the resort, especially after the fabulous dinner our family experienced at the restaurant.

For breakfast guests can opt for the breakfast buffet or order off the menu.

During our first breakfast visit at DUO, my kids and I chose to order off the menu.

I ordered the Sunrise Quesadilla, which was filled with cheese, eggs, bacon, and green onions, and served with salsa. It was satisfying and delicious!

Each of my kids ordered the Pattycake Pancakes, and we also ordered a side of Bacon for them to share.

My husband ordered the Full Island Buffet, and after seeing my husband arrive at the table with plate after plate filled with a bounty of scrumptious food, my kids and I knew we had to try the buffet the next day.

The buffet offers a variety of baked goods, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, a made-to-order station (pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, waffles, and omelettes), a gluten-free station, miso soup, specialty hot entrees (such as Eggs Benedict and Steak Burritos), and so much more (An Ali`i Buffet, which includes a Mimosa or Bloody Mary, as well as a Wailea Buffet, which offers fruit, bread, pastries, and cereals, are also available).

There are also enhancements to the buffet you can add-on for $10 each, such as ahi sashimi, crab benedict, and grilled sirloin steak.

I loved the selection of foods!  I indulged in savory potatoes, crisp bacon, scrambled eggs, and flavorful muffins.  It's great that favorites like pancakes and French toast are made to order so they don't get soggy.

My kids personally loved the piles of pastries and being able to eat donuts for breakfast!

There is also a Smoothie Bar for an additional charge. Speaking of the Smoothie Bar, I overheard a conversation at the Smoothie Bar that exemplified the Four Seasons service.

A guest asked if there were any beets for a smoothie, and the employee behind the counter advised they had no beets. The employee then asked the guest how long he would be at the resort so when she did get the beets she could make sure there were enough for the remainder of his visit when he goes back to DUO for breakfast!  Talk about service!

And just as with our dinner at DUO, service during breakfast was exceptional, Michael and Melvin, our servers over the weekend, and all those who assisted provided top-notch service.

There's no better way to start a relaxing day at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea than with a superb breakfast at DUO Steak and Seafood.
