Made in Hawaii - TLDYEU (The Last Deodorant You'll Ever Use) Review

Not too long ago I was at an event at which Melissa from Frolic asked me if I'd try TLDYEU (The Last Deodorant You'll Ever Use) - an all natural, locally-made deodorant.

She had just reviewed it herself and was actually wearing it at the event, so I was eager to give it a try myself.

A few days later I saw her at another event where she gave me a sample of TLDYEU.
TLDYEU's ingredients include: Organic Coconut Oil, Pure Baking Soda, Organic Arrowroot, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Beeswax, Premium Tea Tree Oil.

Immediately upon opening the tin I could smell the refreshing scent of the tea tree oil.

To actually use the deodorant may be a little off-putting to some - you need to use your fingers to apply it under your arms (TLDYEU is sold in glass jars which can be recycled vs single-use plastic deodorant sticks).

I admit it did feel a bit weird to be swiping the TLDYEU under my armpits, but that was definitely not the weirdest part of testing it out (more on that later).

As many locals know - Hawaii has been experiencing some crazy humidity, so it was the perfect time to try out the natural deodorant.

At the end of a hot & humid day of running errands, eating out, and taking care of my typical household responsibilities, I think TLDYEU worked great.

And to be sure - I had asked my middle son, who is VERY sensitive to smells to give my armpits a whiff (this was the weirdest part of the review process).

He has no problems blurting out his opinion whether in the privacy of our home or out in public (despite our repeated reminders to be more discreet).  If something is baking in the oven or we're at a restaurant, he'll ask out loud "What is that amazing smell?"  And if something reeks at home or if we're out and about - he won't hesitate to (loudly) ask  "Ew, what is that stinky smell?"

So, when he smelled my armpits, he didn't say they smelled good, but he didn't say they smelled stinky either.

That was good enough for me!

As I used up the sample of TLDYEU, it really seemed to work well.

I'd definitely purchase a full jar of TLDYEU to try out the deodorant for a longer term, and even get my husband to try it out (he works outdoors frequently).

TLDYEU is pricey ($15 for 2.5 oz jar), but it's really a small price to pay knowing that you are only using all natural ingredients - ingredients that you can actually pronounce!
