Hula Boba Kapolei

After some fun in the sun at Ko'olina, we found Hula Boba in Kapolei!  It was a pleasant surprise to discover it was a create your own boba place!  The boba drinks come in two sizes and the cups are marked with two lines.  The price includes the toppings filled to the first line.  After that, there are extra charges.

Being a germaphobe, I have mixed feelings about the buffet of uncovered boba toppings that dozens of customers handled before me.  But my daughter didn't seem to mind as she filled her cup with tapioca, strawberry tapioca, strawberry jelly, and custard pudding.  Ah, how nice it is to be young and ignorant.  ;)

When you get to the counter, you give them your cups and let them know what drink you'd like.  I got a coffee milk tea, strawberry smoothie, and a kids shave ice (up to 3 flavors).  The strawberry smoothie was the tastiest.  My coffee milk tea was good, but I didn't like that I could taste some of the grinds of the instant coffee.  The shave ice texture was not the best, but still tasty.

The small size is HUGE!  Wish there was an extra small because we didn't even finish half.  It's really that big!  The store also sells candies, cookies, and more!  Fun place to get your boba fix.
