Wine Tasting at Mana + Pua

I had been wanting to experience the wine tasting at Mana + Pua for a while now and finally got the chance when we staycationed on the North Shore this past weekend.  Mana + Pua is a super cute and cozy café with all the right surf chic vibes.  They serve coffees, delicious sandwiches and flatbreads, and also doubles as a wine tasting room for their own wines!  

You can taste the Mana + Pua rainbow of 5 wines for $25.  If you join their wine club, the tasting fee is waived.  You can also order by the glass and bottle.  Currently, they are offering the following wines: NV MANA sparkling brut, NV MANA  sparkling rosé, 2020 MANA  Sauvignon blanc, 2020 MANA Chardonnay, 2019 MANA Rose, 2019 MANA Pinot noir, 2020 MANA Cabernet, 2019 Pua red blend, and 2019 PUA white blend.  

Definitely put this on your list of things to do in Haleiwa and make a reservation! CHEERS!

Cloud Braker latte.

Mana + Pua in Haleiwa is a coffee shop, eatery, and most recently, a wine tasting room for Mana + Pua wines. They offer unique wine flight experiences that you can reserve online at www.manapua.wine    

On a previous visit, I had the Cloud Braker latte special (made with vanilla, honey, and cinnamon), the avocado smash, and I took home a couple of coconut chocolate chip cookies for good measure. 

The food and coffee were all absolutely delicious and I am now looking forward to returning to experience the wine tasting!

WineView at Cattleya

There's a fabulous event going on twice-monthly at Orchids' Cattleya at Halekulani that's perfect for those who love wine and great food - WineView!

For $59 a month (tax and gratuity included; $69 a month for December), guests can sit at the communal table between 4:30p to 7:30p for an informal wine tasting and fabulous dishes from Orchids.

We learned about the different wines and how they were aged, and they were accompanied by wonderful dishes.

The food alone was more than worth the price, but paired with the amazing wines - it is such a fantastic deal!

The Risotto was my favorite of all the courses - topped with Foie Gras, it was just rich, creamy, and decadent. The Hamachi Crudo was delicious as well.

The next WineView is on December 19 (wines and courses subject to change). Don't miss it!
