Top 10: Things I Loved About Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River

If you find yourself in the charming town of Post Falls, Idaho, the Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River is an ideal place to stay.  Here are the top 10 things I loved about the hotel:

1. Great service - from all of the employees at Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River!
2. The view - the hotel is located right along the Spokane River, and we could step out onto the balcony (or simply look out our window) to stare at this gorgeous view.

3. Clean, comfortable rooms - microwave and refrigerators included!

4. Private beach - such a beautiful place to sit and relax, and watch the geese!
5. Convenient location - Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River is super close to a variety of attractions (such as Post Falls Dam, pictured), and the bigger city of Coeur d'Alene.

6. Plentiful, complimentary parking - even though there were some events going on at the hotel, we never had a problem finding a parking spot!
7. - Environmentally-friendly bath amenities - and they smell great too!

8. Complimentary refreshments - such a nice welcome after a long drive from Montana!

9. Indoor pool - even when it's chilly outside, you can still take a dip in the heated indoor pool!

10. Complimentary bike rentals - such a great way to explore the charming town of Post Falls!

Visit Post Falls: Corner Cafe

While in Post Falls, Idaho, we went to Corner Cafe for Breakfast.

Kid's Pancake and Bacon

Stuffed Hash Browns

Early Bird Special - French Toast, Egg, Bacon
The Early Bird Special - French Toast or Pancake, 1 Egg, and 2 Bacon, is a deal for just $4.99.

The Stuffed Hash Browns were amazing.  Hash Browns were layered with Cheese, Sour Cream, and Green Onions.  All that was missing was Bacon (which I added on my own).  I did not expect the Stuffed Hash Browns to be so huge, but it was big, and super delicious.

My kids ordered a Pancake and Bacon meal from the Kid's Menu, and the chef ended up making a cute piggy!

The servers were friendly and efficient, and we had a wonderful breakfast at Corner Cafe!

Visit Post Falls: Falls Park

After hundreds of miles of driving through the Pacific Northwest, we decided to take the kids to a playground to expend some energy, and that led us to Falls Park.

Not only does Falls Park have a nice playground, but it is also home to Post Falls Dam and other historical sites.

A few people were at the park fishing and jogging, and a couple of picnic shelters make Falls Park a nice spot to have leisurely lunch.

Of course my kids had a blast on the playground, especially on the swings, since swings are a rarity in Hawaii.

Falls Park was a great stop in Idaho!

Visit Post Falls: Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River

Our Pacific Northwest Road Trip took us from Washington to Montana, and then to Idaho, where we spent the night at the Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River.

The first thing that popped into my mind when we pulled up to the hotel was how expansive it was.  Spanning three buildings and surrounded by lush green lawns, the parking lot of the Red Lion Templin's Hotel on the River was full of cars, and I also noticed one of the buildings was being painted.

My concerns about busyness or being disturbed by any renovations were immediately quelled when I walked into the welcoming lobby - complete with refreshments and seating areas overlooking the Spokane River - where I happened to meet the General Manager, who, along with the Front Desk employee, took the time to chat with me about the hotel and the general area.

How relaxing to just sit here and enjoy the view!

The 163-room hotel offers the same signature comforts found at other Red Lion Hotels - plush pillowtop beds, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, to name a few.
Our Premium River View Two Queen Beds room was on the smaller side compared to other hotels we've been to, but it was still sufficient for our stay, and the incredible views more than made up for the lack of space.

I could've just spent hours on the balcony gazing at the sparkling river and admiring the natural beauty of Idaho!

Red Lion Templin's on the River also has an indoor pool, a fitness center, and easy access to a private beach.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, complimentary bike rentals, and complimentary parking!

On-site is Mallards Restaurant and Lounge, as well as a little convenience store to purchase snacks and drinks.

In addition to the numerous services and amenities, another great reason to stay at Red Lion Templin's on the River is the ideal location.  Just 35 minutes from Spokane International Airport and 15 minutes to Downtown Couer d'Alene, the hotel is also just a very short drive to popular Post Falls attractions Treaty Rock and Falls Park.

Despite the renovations and the number of people at the hotel, we had a very pleasant stay, and it was surprisingly quiet even though there was a lot going on!  We were never bothered by any of the painting or construction, and we never dealt with any noise or disturbances from other guests.

Service was excellent, the views were gorgeous, and the location was convenient.

I hope we can stay longer the next time!
