Visit Auckland: Tokyo Club

In Ponsonby Central you'll find a lot of shops and eateries.  One of my kids really wanted sushi, and fortunately Tokyo Club was one of the restaurants in Ponsonby Central.

This Izakaya offers kids meals, including a sushi kids meal!

All of the appetizers were so good!

I loved everything!  The Chicken Karaage was so tasty, and the Daigaku Imo - chunks of kumara dressed in caramlized honey and soy, had a nice sweet and salty flavor.

The Gyoza Combo consisted of pork and Japanese mushroom gyozas.  The Eggplant Misoyaki was really delish.  I could've eaten just that for a meal!

Service was great, and I'd highly recommend Tokyo Club if you're craving Japanese food in Auckland!

Visit Auckland: Tole Reserve

While aboard the Soaring Kiwi Tours Hop-On Hop-Off  Western Tour, we decided to get off at Ponsonby.

We sought out a playground, Tole Reserve, so the kids could release some energy it's about a 15-minute walk from the bus drop-off).

This lovely park has a skateboard ramp area, a dog park, and playground.

Colorful swings, slides, and other equipment fill the playground for hours of fun.

There is also a basketball court, and the court is painted with roadways (perfect for line chase!).

There are no benches, but the perimeter surrounding the playground is perfect to use as a seat - especially when under the shade.
