Tanioka's Seafoods & Catering

The last few times I've tried to pick up food from Tanioka's, they've either been closed, or the line out the door was so long that I had to keep driving. But this past weekend I was right on the money, as they were open and there were only a few people waiting in line outside the door.

Tanioka's offers local favorites like poke, spam musubi, fried chicken, lumpia, ahi patties, bentos, plate lunches, etc.

We love the fried chicken. Each order comes with 2-3 pieces. They also offer garlic chicken, which in our opinion, tastes better than the regular fried chicken.

One of our sons wanted to try the fried rice. I think it was too peppery for him. But the adults liked it - they put a lot of Portuguese sausage in it.

The shrimp tempura is also one of my faves. The salmon patty (on the right) was a little dry. For dessert I tried one of their glazed donut-like items - it was blueberry flavored. It might have been a blueberry andagi? The employee who was helping me did not know the name of it. It was OK, but I'm not in a rush to buy it again.

I wasn't able to get a photo of the spam musubis that I bought, because they were consumed in the car on the way to my mom's house - Tanioka's makes the best spam musubi, IMHO!

The friendly cashier informed me that you can call ahead and place an order over the phone to skip the line, and you don't even have to go inside. You just have to order and pay for it over the phone, then when you arrive, park in one of the designated stalls to the right of the shop, and someone will come out to help you!

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
