Visit Blue Mountains: Jamison Views Restaurant at Hotel Mountain Heritage

Our family was a guest of Jamison Views Restaurant / Hotel Mountain Heritage and Blue Mountains Tourism.  All gratuity was paid on our own.

During our stay at the Hotel Mountain Heritage, we dined at Jamison Views Restaurant for both dinner and breakfast.

As you can guess by its name, the restaurant has amazing views of Jamison Valley and the Blue Mountains.

The elegant restaurant offers an upscale menu for dinner.

Market Fish
The fish of the night was Barrumundi, which came with a pea and smoked pork hock sauce.
Charred Cauliflower Steak

I had the Charred Cauliflower Steak.  It was nicely charred and accompanied with a caper salsa, and sprinkled with walnuts.  It was a rather healthy dish with a piquant flavor.

Crisp Skin Pork Belly

Two huge pieces of crispy Pork Belly were accompanied by a pomme puree with gravy and apple slices.

Nori Crumbed Tuna, Squid Ink Crisps, Yuzu, Wakame

Slow-cooked Cornfed Chicken Breast

The dishes we ordered for our meals were intriguing in certain combinations, with some familiar flavors.
Dessert was a Valhrona Chocolate Crema, Cherry Sorbet, Chocolate Soil, and a Morello Cherry Compote.

The kids loved the dessert and the cherry and chocolate combo.

The next morning, we had breakfast, where for a set price, each guest gets juice, tea, or coffee, as well as a selection of pastries, jams and butters, chia pudding, and an entree.

Entree selections included both adult and kid meals, and consisted of typical Australian fare.

Pastries
Jams & Butters

Chia Pudding

Scrambled Eggs & Soldiers

We learned that "Soldiers" are pieces of bread (when I googled it, it's a British term referring to sticks of bread that reflects a solider on parade).
Zucchini Halloumi Fritters

I had the Zucchini Halloumi Fritters, which were accompanied by a red pepper relish.  Two nicely-sized patties were full of zucchini and cheese.  I thought they were a bit soggy, but the flavors were nice.  One of my kids tried some, and ended up eating most of the fritters since he liked them so much.

A typical Aussie breakfast was captured on this plate of poached eggs, bacon, marjoram trussed tomato, grilled portobello mushroom, pork fennel sausage, and a toasted ciabatta.

Buttermilk Pancakes
Two of my kids ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes, which were topped with a honeycomb praline butter, fruits, and a berry compote.  The pancakes looked delightful, and my kids ate it up!

I love breakfast, so I really enjoyed the breakfast compared to the dinner, but both meals were pleasant, and the service was good both times.

Whether you are staying at Hotel Mountain Heritage, or are in the area and looking for a lovely dining experience with an amazing view, consider Jamison Views Restaurant!
