Visit New Orleans: Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar

Disclousre: My meal was sponsored.

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar was highly recommended by a couple of people, and after dining there, I would highly recommend it as well!

This popular restaurant, which is easily accessible via the St. Charles streetcar, dishes out New Orleans favorites, including seafood, Creole classics, and more.

Char-Grilled Oysters
The Char-Grilled Oysters is a top seller, and I could immediately see why - oysters are topped with garlic, butter, herbs, and cheeses.  Yum!

Fried Alligator

A visit to New Orleans would not be complete without eating some alligator, and the Fried Alligator was really good.  Morsels of alligator were seasoned and fried and served with a dipping sauce.  Everyone in the family enjoyed it!

Chicken & Andouille Gumbo
I love gumbo, and I had been eating gumbo nearly everywhere I went in New Orleans, and that didn't change at Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar!  I ordered a cup of Chicken & Andouille Gumbo, and it was fantastic.  It was so robust and flavorful.  My only regret is not ordering a bowl instead!

Crawfish Cornbread

If you love savory cornbread, you'll love the Crawfish Cornbread.  One of my kids prefers sweet cornbreads, but everyone else enjoyed this dish.  The Crawfish was actually pretty mild, but the overall flavor was good.

Superior Cheeseburger

The Roddy Diaz
The Roddy Diaz was a pressed sandwich consisting of smoked beef brisket, ham, and white cheddar.

Crawfish Mac & Cheese

One of my kids ended up eating an appetizer for his lunch - Crawfish Mac & Cheese.  Smart kid!

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar is very family-friendly, and I would definitely recommended a visit for delicious, reasonably-priced food!

Reservations are available via OpenTable.
