Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

I had no idea tahini would taste so yummy in chocolate chip cookies until I made them.  I was given some Premium Tahini from Soom Foods, and they gave the cookies a nice nuttiness and creaminess to the cookies.  This may be one of my new favorite cookie recipes!

Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c Soom Foods Premium Tahini
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 c flour
  • 3/4 t baking soda
  • 1 t sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • flaky sea salt to finish
Directions:
  • In a medium bowl, combine the butter, tahini, and sugars until creamy.
  • Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  • In a separate medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients with the sugar mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour.
  • Scoop dough into 2-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake in a pre-heated 325-degree Fahrenheit oven for 10-13 minutes.
  • Let sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
