STRIPSTEAK WAIKIKI RETURNS ON JULY 1 WITH DYNAMIC INNOVATIONS

STRIPSTEAK Waikiki, Michael Mina’s contemporary American steakhouse with a unique blend of Asian influences, will be resuming operations on the third floor of the International Market Place on Thursday, July 1, 2021.  The much-anticipated reopening will mark the return of many popular signature dishes along with the introduction of new Japanese-inspired dishes, an evolved cocktail and wine program, and the addition of live entertainment on the lanai.

Signature favorites such as Michael Mina’s Ahi Tartare, “Crab Rangoon” Dip, and “Instant Bacon” will rekindle fond memories, while new menu items as Truffle Miso Soup, STRIPSTREAK Edamame, and Triple Seared Washugyu Stripsteak will ignite newfound love for the restaurant.  MINA Group Assistant Director of Bars Michael Lay and MINA Group Wine Director and Master Sommelier Jeremy Shanker will evolve the cocktail and wine program with exciting transformations as the Mai Tai ’44 with Jamaican, Guyana & Martinique Rums, Curacao, Lime, Macadamia & Cashew Orgeat, Vanilla Demerara; and Banzai Pipeline with Tequila, Campari, Local Pineapple & Mango, Lime, Vanilla & Tarragon. The lanai will host live entertainment by Randy Allen and Dustin Park on weekends to offer a relaxing vibe with soulful island sounds.

"We are honored and delighted to reopen STRIPSTEAK Waikiki,” says MINA Group Founder & Chef Michael Mina. “We have heard from many of our loyal guests and team members that they are looking forward to the relaunch, and with a large majority of our staff returning, we are thrilled that patrons may reconnect with some of their favorite bartenders and servers.”

Located on the International Market Place’s third-level Grand Lanai at 2330 Kalākaua Avenue, STRIPSTEAK Waikiki serves dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Friday to Saturday from 5:00pm to 9:30pm with expansive indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are highly recommended. Validated self-parking is available at the International Market Place.
