The Cafe at DaDa

Chef Cyrus Goo, who is most known for owning and operating Cafe Laufer in Kaimuki for over 22 years, has opened a new restaurant in the Ala Moana Hotel called The Cafe at Dada.  The restaurant shares space with Salon Dada, which is located on the third floor of the hotel (next to the pool). Fans of Cafe Laufer, which closed in 2018, can once again enjoy some of their favorite dishes and desserts from the former restaurant.

We decided to check out the new restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We shared the Hot Pastrami Sandwich, which came with a nice serving of salad on the side.

We were also treated to a small cup of the soup of the day.

And if you're wondering why open a cafe at a Salon, it's actually makes a lot of sense. We observed a lot of salon patrons buying things from the restaurant, and there were actually two salon clients who were dining in during their hair treatments (it's quite noticeable when they have their hair wrapped in foil and their smocks on)!

The Cafe is currently open 7 days a week. Check out the complete menu here
