BIG ISLAND CANDIES BRIGHTENS THE DAY WITH THREE NEW TASTE-TEMPTING TREATS

Big Island Candies recently released three additional locally-inspired treats.  In addition to the dark chocolate-covered coffee brownie, pina colada shortbreads, and peach pineapple pie just introduced in July, the local confection brand unveiled yet another round of delights with its new coconut mochi brownie, sweet and salty snack mix, and biscotti bites.

The coconut mochi brownie are buttery, golden brown squares that are soft and chewy and scented with coconut.  An uncut 10-ounce brownie is packaged in a small plastic bento tray for just $12.75.  The sweet and salty snack mix is a concoction comprised of pretzels, conical shaped corn chips, corn chip ribbons, crunchy cheese snacks, and sugary wheat squares.  A 5.5-ounce re-sealable bag of this purely addictive snack goes for $9.00.  Both are recommended for consumption within two weeks of purchase for optimal flavor and freshness.  Macadamia Nut Biscotti Bites are twice-baked, crunchy, Italian-inspired cookie morsels that are perfect for on the go snacking.  A perfect complement to coffee, tea, or wine, these bite-sized cookies are packaged in a 5.5-ounce re-sealable bag retailing for $9.25.

“We are grateful to all our local customers who have come into our Hilo and Honolulu locations to show their support,” says Sherrie Holi, President and Chief Operating Officer.  “Their aloha has helped fuel our desire to develop these products, which I know are going to be some of their new favorites.  While these are ideal for gift-giving to friends and family, they are equally delectable for personal consumption, so we encourage people to consider treating themselves by grabbing one of each for themselves.”
