Aloha Maui: Kea Lani Restaurant at Fairmont Kea Lani

Last month, Kea Lani Restaurant began a $2.4 million makeover, but there is no need to worry for all who stay at or visit the Fairmont Kea Lani - you can still indulge in a fabulous breakfast, as the restaurant offers the complete breakfast experience at the adjacent Nick's Fishmarket space.

At Kea Lani Restaurant, you can opt for the Kea Lani Breakfast Buffet, or order items a la carte.

Wailea Avocado Toast
The Wailea Avocado Toast is a beauty.  Honey Wheat-Berry Toast is topped with avocado, pickled onions, and egg to create a very Instagram-worthy breakfast!
Maui Moco
I've had the Maui Moco before, and decided to have it again. Very tender and flavorful braised pulled beef short ribs on a bed of rice was topped with egg, kim chee, and Maui onion gravy. Last time I wished there was more gravy.  This time, there was a lot of gravy!  I loved it!  I ate nearly the entire thing (it was a HUGE portion!).

Note, the Maui Moco is now part of the buffet!  I thought about going for the buffet instead so I could still enjoy a mini Maui Moco, along with other breakfast faves, but I just knew I would have eaten way too many things I shouldn't have.

At the end of the meal we were treated to some yummy Pumpkin Bread!

Service was excellent, and I look forward to seeing the renovated Kea Lani Restaurant!

Mahalo to the Fairmont Kea Lani for hosting our breakfast.  Gratuity was paid on our own.
