Visit Maui: Breakfast at Kea Lani Restaurant at the Fairmont Kea Lani

The Kea Lani Restaurant is where our family started the day off each morning during our stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani.

A Kea Lani Breakfast Buffet is offered, which included a bounty of fresh fruits, freshly-baked pastries, pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, cereals, breads, miso soup, an omelet station, yogurt station, oatmeal station, and so much more!

My husband and kids indulged in the buffet, and although the options were tantalizing, I couldn't resist ordering from the a la carte menu (a kids menu is also offered).

Fried Chicken and Cheddar Bacon Waffles

Maui Moco
The Fried Chicken and Cheddar Bacon Waffles were amazing.  I love savory foods for breakfast, and I loved that the waffles had cheese and bacon!  The caramelized bananas and toasted coconut provided just enough sweetness for me (I didn't need to use any syrup).

The Maui Moco consisted of tender, melt-in-your-mouth braised pulled beef shortribs, eggs, kimchee, and Maui onion gravy all over white rice.  I wish the dish had more gravy (I just love gravy!), but overall it was delish.

I also began each morning with some fresh specialty juices!

Ma`ema`e "cleanse"

Keola "life"
I enjoyed both juices, but my fave was the Keola - pineapple, kale, coconut water, ginger, and mint.  It was refreshing!  The Ma`ema`e consisted of carrot, papaya, turmeric, celery, lemon.  It was a little bitter, but still good.

Service was excellent, and the food was fantastic too.  My family loved the variety offered in the breakfast buffet, and I was very impressed with the a la carte menu selections.
