Visit Kona - Manago Hotel Restaurant

Whenever I'm in Kona or planning to go to Kona, people will tell me to go to Manago Hotel Restaurant to try the Pork Chops.

So I finally went.

Located in the Manago Hotel, which was founded in 1917, the Manago Hotel Restaurant definitely shows its age, but that's part of the charm!

The no-frills restaurant has just one menu posted on the wall, and offers typical plate lunch fare and sandwiches (breakfast is also served).

All entrees include steamed rice and three sides.

My kids were getting full on the tofu and rice, and the entrees weren't even served yet!

Pork Chops

Cheeseburger

Mahi Mahi

Shrimp Saute
The Pork Chops were served with gravy and sauteed onions. They were very good, just as I hoped they would be (based on what everyone was telling me). They were tender and juicy, and even better with the gravy and onions.

Everyone ate up their meals!

Although I thought the food was a bit pricey, it was good, and service was great.

I'm glad I finally got to try the Pork Chops!
