MW Restaurant Dessert Experience

Bite sized desserts are beautifully displayed on pedestals.

Family and friends all know that I just don't have one sweet tooth; I've got a whole mouth full of them.  Dessert is my favorite part of the meal and I enjoy anything created by Michelle Karr-Ueoka of MW Restaurant.

When my super sweet friend asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday this year, I told her I really wanted to try Michelle's dessert chef tasting that she had posted about on her Instagram account.  Next thing I knew, my friend had set up a five course Dessert Experience with MW Restaurant for our group.  Did I mention that I have amazing friends?

We started off the night with some appetizers from MW Restaurant's menu, but kept it light so we could save room for all the desserts.  We had an inkling it would be a lot, but the dessert experience surpassed all my expectations!

First Course: Mango "Gazpacho"; Second Course: Strawberry Shortcake; Third Course: Bananas Foster; Fourth Course: Cherries Jubilee; and Fifth Course: Little Bites of Chocolate.

The entire menu was amazing!  My personal favorites were the Mango Gazpacho and the mochi malasada bread pudding in the Bananas Foster. The last course was remarkable with the sweets beautifully displayed on various ceramic pedestals.  When it couldn't get any better, Michelle brought out a gorgeous ice cream birthday cake!  Since there was an overwhelming number of desserts, my friends insisted I take the cake home and share it with my family.  We've been having a slice every night this week and each time we enjoy it, we all agree it is the best cake we have ever had!

Special thanks to Michelle and Wade of MW Restaurant for such a night to remember!
