Visit Big Island: Daylight Mind

It's no secret that I'm a huge breakfast / brunch fan, so when I asked a friend who lives in Hilo for restaurant recommendations in Kona, one of the places she mentioned was Daylight Mind.

Located in the Queens' Marketplace, Daylight Mind offers brunch daily from 7am-3pm.

Kona Kine Benedict

BBQ Pork Po' Boy
I had the Kona Kine Benedict, which consisted of smoked pork shoulder.  It was delish.  The pork was tender and flavorful.  I just wish they added more Hollandaise.  You can opt to get it with rice or potatoes.

My husband had the BBQ Pork Po' Boy.  He really loved the lilikoi dressing that came with the accompanying salad.

A keiki menu is offered as well - everything is $8!
Egg and Toast

Keiki Loco Moco

Keiki Pancake
Service was great, and breakfast at Daylight Mind was a nice way to start our day in Waikoloa.

Kama`aina - don't forget to show your ID for a discount!
