Visit Tokyo: Western Breakfast Buffet at Old City Grill House

Western Breakfast Buffet

During our stay in Tokyo at the Shiba Park Hotel, we enjoyed a Western Breakfast Buffet daily at Old City Grill House.

Serving breakfast from 6:45am to 10:00am daily, Old City Grill House welcomed hungry guests each morning to start their days off with a variety of dishes:

Croissants, chocolate danish, breads

Salad and vegetable dishes

Cereals and toppings

Chicken nuggets; fries

Penne pasta; Curry rice pilaf

Baked Eggs

Scrambled Eggs

Cheeses, meats, eggs, and salmon
Yogurt and Fresh Fruit

Bacon; German Fried Potatoes

Waffles and Pancakes

Veggies
During our stay, the menu items remained pretty consistent. My go-tos were the curry rice, bacon, potatoes, and eggs. One day the chicken nuggets were tempura-style - so good! At times we got creative and made pancake sandwiches just to change things up a bit, but I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. I always left satisfied.

There were only a few minor changes on a couple of days we dined at Old City Grill House. For instance, one day onion rings were offered (yummy!!), as well as fries with bacon and onions (versus plain fries).

Each buffet also comes with an option to order an omelette or scrambled eggs, plus bacon and sausage.

If you are staying at Shiba Park Hotel or Shiba Park Hotel 151, there are breakfast packages you can opt for which will include the breakfast buffet. Otherwise, it's 2,494 JPY per adult; 1,247 yen for 6-12 years old.

A Japanese-style breakfast is also offered by reservation only (must reserve by 7pm the day before).

Like many restaurants in Tokyo, there are hand sanitizers around the restaurant so you can clean your hands before your meal.

For those with food sensitives, Old City Grill House clearly marks allergens next to each dish.

The staff was always polite and helpful. Even when it got busy (the restaurant tends to get very busy after 8am), staff members were always pleasant.

The Western Breakfast Buffet was a great way to fuel up for a day of exploring Tokyo!
