Kamehameha Bakery

Although I'm not a huge donut or pastry fan, I decided to go to Kamehameha Bakery since I was having lunch nearby with Nat, and Nat told me about the popular Poi Glazed Donuts.

Kamehameha Bakery offered a number of tantalizing options in the display case, but I knew I just had to try the Poi Glazed Donuts, especially after Nat mentioned it, and the employee confirmed that it is the most popular item that the bakery offers.

The bakery was also offering Strawberry Donuts.
I tried the Poi Donut first, and thought it was yummy!  It was slightly reminiscent of a malasada.  The donut had a very light poi flavor, and lots of messy, sugary goodness on the outside.
However, I liked the Strawberry the best, because the flavor was a little more prominent.
You can't go wrong with either flavor though.

I look forward to trying other sweets from Kamehameha Bakery!
