Moena Cafe - Kapolei

When our family dined at Moena Cafe in the Koko Marina Center, we didn't have the greatest experience.  The food was good, but service left much to be desired.

I was still excited, however, to try the Moena Cafe that recently opened in Ka Makana Ali`i.

"MC Breakfast"

Sausage Hash
I decided to order the Sausage Hash, which consisted of pineapple sausage, potatoes, and onions, and served with two eggs.  It was a nice portion, and I enjoyed the pineapple sausage, which was both sweet and salty.

One of my friends had the MC Breakfast, which consisted of two eggs, choice of meat (she chose pineapple sausage), and a starch (she chose fried rice).

Another friend, who always orders Eggs Benedict if it's on the menu, liked Moena's, which included hickory-smoked ham on roasted garlic bread, all covered in a hollandaise sauce.

Our server was friendly, but it did take a long time for our food to get to the table - almost 40 minutes.  The restaurant had several tables occupied, but it was far from full, so although I expected service to be somewhat slow since the restaurant just opened, I wasn't expecting to wait that long for our food.

Despite that, I'm glad there's a nice new breakfast option in the Kapolei area.
