Visit Maui: Island Cream

Whenever we travel, we always try to stop at an ice cream or gelato shop.  On a recent visit to Maui, we indulged in some Island Cream.

It's not ice cream, nor gelato.  The hand-made concoction is like a hybrid of the two, using local products whenever possible, and even housemade baked goods (cake, cookies, etc.) mixed in. Sorbets and non-dairy concoctions are also offered.

Almond-Joy

Mint Chip

Strawberry Guava Sorbet

Kauai-Karmel + Maui-Loco
Keiki sizes are available, and they come with a wafer roll!

My husband and I shared Kauai-Karmel + Maui-Loco.

The Maui-Loco - a coconut base full of macadamia nuts, chocolate chips, and caramel was very yummy, but I loved the Kauai-Karmel so much more.  The creamy caramel was delish, but it was the roasted pecans that won me over.

The flavor options are plentiful, and you can sample the flavors before you buy.
