Visit Vancouver: Cartems Donuterie

Even though I'm not a big donut fan, if someone recommends a donut spot to visit while I'm traveling, I will try my best to visit.

When @greatnorthernpineapple told me about Cartems Donuterie in Vancouver, I knew I had to hunt it down!

We did not have a car in Vancouver, but luckily there is a Cartems very close to the Waterfront SkyTrain station.

Apple Fritter

Chocolate Glaze

London Fog

Salted Caramel

Triple Chocolate Threat
I opted for the Salted Caramel donut (of course!). It was good, but didn't taste very salted-caramel-y. After looking on the Cartems website, I noticed the picture on the site was of a donut drizzled with caramel sauce. Searching online for other images I saw some donuts without the sauce, some with - so I'm not sure what the donut is truly supposed to look like (I'm assuming it was indeed missing the caramel sauce).

I enjoyed the Chocolate Glaze a (with 55% Belgian chocolate ganache glaze) and Apple Fritter.

The London Fog - a yeast donut stuffed with cream, was a little too sweet for my taste.

I didn't get to taste The Triple Chocolate Threat - chocolate cake, topped with chocolate ganache, and crispy callebaut chocolate pearls - because my son ate it all before I could try a piece!

Cartems is definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves donuts or has a sweet tooth!
