2016 Mililani Carnival

Last year our family went to the Mililani Carnival, which returned after a very long hiatus, and I was eager to see what improvements were made when we visited the 2016 carnival on Friday.

We arrived when it started (3pm), and one of the first things I noticed was that there were more ride coupon booths and scrip booths.  Last year there were crazy long lines for ride coupons and food scrips because of the limited number of booths.

This year, multiple booths made for much shorter lines, however, despite signage on the booths for rides and food scrips, I noticed people were still using the wrong tickets (e.g. giving food scrips to the ride operators).

And although rides were discounted from 3pm-6pm, there was no signage - you either had to ask or look on the E.K. Fernandez website.

Also, for the games, only dollar bills or coins were accepted, and there needed to be more signage to note that, since I noticed many people attempting to pay for games with large bills.

In other words, more signage overall was needed, but still, our family had a much better time this year.

Playing Games
The layout seemed better organized, and there was more seating so people could sit down and eat.

Speaking of eating, there sure were a lot of great food options!  From fried chicken to fried Twinkies, there was no shortage of yummy carnival eats.
Grilled Cheese
Pizza
Taco in a Bag
Cotton Candy
Cookies & Cream Ice Cream
We spent way too much money, but it was all for a good cause, and my kids had a lot of fun!
