Japengo Waikiki

Our family recently had dinner at Japengo Waikiki, located in the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.

I wasn't feeling very hungry, so I decided to order the Crispy Japengo Chicken and Asparagus, but it turned out to be so much food!

The chicken was very delicious - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor! My kids loved it too! The asparagus dish contained a Maui fern shoot tartine, smoked meat, mushrooms, ricotta cheese, and an organic cinnamon spiced balsamic. All of the elements combined to create a very pleasant dish!

Kids meals are a bit pricey - ranging in price from $7.50 for a PBJ, to $18 for the fish, however, kids 5 and under eat free from the kids menu with a paying adult, so my youngest got a free meal.

The food was great, and the service was excellent - our server was friendly, efficient, attentive, and simply one of the best we've had anywhere.

Japengo is a very nice, family-friendly spot for dinner in Waikiki (and Hyatt Gold Members get a 15% discount!).
